Does anyone know how many points a sliced round piece of dried pineapple is???? It's very sweet, so I'm sure it has sugar in it..........Also, I have this very yummy pea and white corn cold salad that I love....it has only white shoepeg corn, baby peas, celery and green bell pepper, which is all good as far as I know, but it's the marinade I'm concerned about. It has 1 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup water, 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup oil (I use olive oil). Even though you really don't EAT the marinade and most of it is left in the bowl when the salad is gone, it does soak in it. Is that really bad? And how would any of you count those points for a cup? THANKS!!!!
the sugar has 16 points per cup. The olive oil has 48 points per cup (so 24 points in your marinade). The vinegar, you know, is free. Measure the amount LEFT OVER after all the salad's gone, for starters... and see how much oil floats to the top. You can guesstimate from there, based on how many servings the recipe made, and how many you had.... As far as the pineapple, the people at the 800 number (write this down) 651-6000. they are telling me that 1/4 cup (roughly 2 ounces) is 2 points. They don't have it broken down by specific fruit. so cut up that slice and "measure" it either on your scale or in a cup. Enjoy.
