The WW points also factor in the fat and fiber that the food has in it...so an 80 calorie apple with 5 grams of fiber (meaning a decent portion of the calories in the apple go right though your system
) will have a lower points value than an 80 calorie bit of candy that is fiberless and contains a couple grams of fat.
