What always worked for me was to set my emotions aside. I had to force myself to think logically - if I eat fewer calories than I burn I am going to lose weight. Maybe not as fast as I would like, maybe not from the spots I most need to, but it
WILL come off. Plus, I would force myself to look past my own vanity. There are plenty of benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Losing weight and looking better are just the tip of the iceberg.
Then,
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I would remind myself that the only
SURE way I
WOULDN'T be able to lose it is if I gave up.
Talk positively to yourself and keep realistic expectations from week to week. Set reasonable goals that aren't always tied to the scale. Those pounds will come off - but you have to CONSISTENTLY eat less and move more. You can do it!
