Another new one....

  • Hello everyone! I just joined the forum, but have been following it for quite some time now. I have been on the beach this go round since last Tuesday and am doing quite well, suprisingly. Since I am only wanting to lose 10 pounds right now, I started in a strict phase 2. I know that is a no-no in most people's eyes, but I tried phase 1 over and over and always end up messing it up. My main goal is to adopt a healthier way of eating, and I really like the south beach principles. Nice to meet you all! I feel like I know some of you, since I have been reading posts for so long!     I would like to lose 20 pounds but agree with you on liking the principles of the SB diet. Eating healthier is ultimatley more important, the weight will eventually fall off if I stick to it..(I hope )

  • Welcome to the Beach! Phase 1 is really for detoxing and to help get rid of the cravings. Since you have only 10 pounds to lose, if cravings are not giving you a lot of trouble then I think you should do fine starting on phase 2. Any change to healthier food is a good change!
