The abs diet

  • has anyone heard of The abs diet? Is it working for you?

    thanks
  • I know there have been several threads regarding the Abs Diet.

    This one for example.

It sounds similar to a LOT of eating plans/diets that I think of as derived from bodybuilding/strength training diets - eating small, frequent meals instead of 'three squares a day', consisting of lean protein, complex carbs and healthy fats; and working out using both cardio and strength training.

Just off the top of my head - some similar plans include Body for Life (highly recommend the recent Body for Life for Women), Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle, Jorge Cruise's 3 Hour Diet, etc.

You know the old saying 'there is nothing new under the sun' - but there are lots of ways to repackage and market the old stuff, that's for sure!
  • Hi there! I just started reading the Abs Diet book and am half way through it. The eating plan sounds pretty reasonable (there are some things in it as compared to the 6 wk body makeover that make it better for me), ie almonds (and other nuts), skim milk, yogurt, etc. Looks like I am easing my way into this one now. The working out is easy for me as I already hit the gym 5-6 times a week to do cardio and weights.

Would love to hear some stories about whether anyone likes or dislikes this diet. Of course would love to hear if it has worked! I wish you luck if you try it.

  • I think the abs diet was developed for men and is sold to women too..well as far as I am concerned a plan without chocolate, and other niceties isnt going to work for me..
I think he is out to make a buck.
