Wanting to be Healthy...

  • hey there, the name's HarmoniousOne, Harm for short. i'm 25 years old, 270 lbs (?) after two wonderful boys. i dont have a strong friend network here in town and i'm trying to lose weight pretty much on my own. i dont want to have to take appetite suppresants or fat-absorbing drugs. i am trying to work out more and eat better. i came to this decision on my 25th birthday last month and am already seeing results. i am eating better than i have in the past 4 years, and while i'm not having a very good week this week i have been doing better about working out. i bought myself a bike two days ago, and i LOVE tae-bo. i cant afford things like weight watchers or a gym membership. so, here i am, trying to do this for myself and my children and my husband. i want to be a healthy person again. if you are looking for a good friend online, full of humor and (i think) good advice... please, let's buddy up. i need all the help i can get as far as positive reinforcement. thanks for looking!

  • Hi, How great that you have made the decision to get healthier for yourself and your family! You will be making a lasting impression on your children and teaching them how to eat right. You can loose the weight without WW and the other programs. I have become an expert on how many calories food has! You are already making changes in your diet and exercising more. You can take your kids outside with you for a walk, play with them at the playground, involve them too. Bike riding is great. I have always just walked for exercise and I recentally got my bike out and started riding. I thought my legs were strong from all that walking, but then, surprise, I rediscoverd I have thighs! If you want a buddy who will be there for you I would be glad to. You can reach me at [email protected]
