Birthday "hangover"

  • I've been doing really good on P2 until my birthday came along this past weekend. I'd told myself I was going to allow myself a few treats, as long as I exercised and did some extra cardio. (which I've kept my promise) But the birthDAY turned into a birthday weekend with both families. One piece of cake here, one baked potato there, another piece of cake the next night, and some movie popcorn the next. One "treat" per day all weekend. Ugh. I don't feel like I binged, but I do feel like I overdid it and I'm disappointed in myself.

I'm really trying not to beat myself up over it, and am telling myself that it is once a year, and in the long run, it won't hurt me as long as I get back op and keep up the cardio. I'm back op full force today, and may even go back to p1 for a few days to make sure I clean all the bad stuff out of my system.

I know a positive attitude is key, and that's what I'm really trying to focus on. Negativity only leads to downfall and not getting back op.

    Thanks for listening/reading!
  • Kelly -- great attitude!!! Just get right back on the wagon!!!

    Happy Belated!
  • Happy Bday!!! Don't beat yourself up. Just get back OP and start fresh. My bday is in 3 weeks, and I am sure I will have a little OOPS!!!
  • Thanks ladies!
It makes a difference to not get bogged down in it, I think my mental state is changing along with my body! In diets past, this would've been the stopping point for me and I would've just gone back to the old habits eventually. Not this time!
  • Happy Birthday KellyBelly... This will be your best year yet! Keep that positive thinking going in EVERY aspect of your life!
  • Happy Belated Birthday, Kelly!!
You have a great attitude, hon. You're going to be alright.
