Mini Goal: 30 miles in 30 days!

  • Ok who wants to join me in a mini goal/challenge I have set for myself? This goal is for me to walk 30 miles in 30 days! I will walk as much and as often as i feel like as long as I walk 30 miles in 30 days. This will also help me get back into my daily routine of walking so I will benefit with daily cardio too!

    Anyone up for it?
  • Count me in! I can keep track of miles on the elliptical trainer. At 30 miles/30 days I should be at Becca's in 10 years. Log our miles here?

  • Hi Becky! I am just curious -- how long does it take you to walk 2 miles?

    I need to figure out how far I walk. I have been going by the time (i.e. walking for 30 min.) but I have no idea how far it is??

    I walked for a half hour again today!!! YEAH!

    I do the Leslie Sansone Walk away the lbs. for abs workout tapes most of the time..when Its just too doggone hot to walk outside...and that way I know if Im walking 2 or 3 miles.

    Ususally, tho If you are walking a pretty fast pace....which means you have trouble conversing while walking..that means you are at a good aerobic pace..and you should be averaging 4 mph or 1 mile per 15 minutes. Most people walk a little slower than that, me included when I walk outside..usually 1 mile in 20 minutes for me??? Do you have access to a treadmill that you can walk on to judge how fast you are walking per mile??

  • Yep it takes me 20 mins to walk 1 mile and 30 mins for 1.5 miles. I walk at a rate of 2.5-3.00 miph and I usually walk as long as Keilyn lets me.

  • Ok Well I Guess I'll Have To Do My Goal A Little Different Since I Have An Exercise "Bike" So I'll Set My Goal At 5 Miles A Day For 30 Days OMG Thats 150 Miles!!! Oh Well I Think I Can Do It 150 miles 30 days ??? We Shall See
  • I went and drove my walking path and found out that it is 2 miles. I did that in a half hour so it looks like I am walking 4 MPH - does that sound right?

    My mini goal is to walk a half hour at least 3 times a week - preferably 5-6 times a week!!!!
