Snack NOTE!

  • Don't forget as those lbs come rolling off that you adjust your snack calories to fit your weight!

    Here is the rule:

    If your current weight is…

    Up to 200 lbs = change nothing (eat the 100 calorie snack)

    200-249 lbs = double your snack size to 200 calories

    250-299 lbs = triple your snack size to 300 calories

    300+ lbs = quadruple your snack size to 400 calories or another meal



    As your weight drops, move to the next calorie selection to continue losing 2 pounds a week.

    3 Hour Eating


    Eat w/in one hour of rising and then eat every three hours after that. Your meals should be around 400 calories and your snacks 100 calories. Drink at least eight 8 ounce glasses of water a day which will help to curb your hunger and flush out your system. Stop eating three hours before you go to bed.

  • And don't forget about us shorties!!! If you are 5'2" or under OR weigh less than 150, cut your breakfast only in half to 200 calories!!

  • I think you can reduce the breakfast only if you are 5'2" AND under 150 lbs. (Unfortunately I don't fit that category).

    Snack question: IF you're in the category for 200 calorie snacks, is it BETTER to eat only a 100 calorie snack (if you're not starving) or will eating the lower calorie snack hinder the weightloss process from working effectively?
  • Jorge Cruise himself told me in a post that you have to eat the 200 calorie snacks when I was on the site as a member.

    Today I had Yoplait's Chocolate Mousse Yogurt in chocolate cherry -- 160 calories of total yummy!
  • Okay, that's what I needed to know. It's hard to believe you can lose eating 200 calorie snacks! My mind has a hard time wrapping around that concept, but if those are the rules --- they must be for a reason! ^__^ Thanks for the tidbit!

    Part of the reason is that you do NOT want your body to go into "starvation" mode - hold onto fat at all costs - slow down metabolism. Another part is that you want to lose the way you want to live. If you get your body used to eating under the calories you need to lose your weight, you will need to eat under the calories you need to maintain your goal weight. The ideal is to eat as many calories as possible and still lose. That way, you speed up your metabolism, and get your body used to more calories so when you get to goal, you won't have to starve yourself to stay there.
