Hot Weather Hints!

  • (I just bumped up the Crockpot Chili recipe in the Phase I entree section.)

    1. We are inclined to think of crock pots as cold weather appliances but they sure do keep the kitchen cooler in this scorching weather. I may make the Ethiopian Chicken soon and freeze some for future meals.

    2. To keep your stove element from heating up the kitchen after you are done with it, put a pot of cold water on top of it. The heat goes into the water, rather than into the air and the water can go down the sink if it gets hot.

    3. Hang your clothes outside on a line rather than use the dryer.

There are lots more. Add your own hints. Of course, you can always take off your clothes and stand nekkid on my deck!
