By ensuring you are hydrated is a way to minimize water retention. This means drinking your water throughout the week. If this is TOM related then you just learn to deal with that problem. Watch for trends and your overall rather than each little week.
Hi Dakota! I don't know if "water pills" are recommended or not. I use them when I am retaining water- yesterday I was so uncomfortable, my fingers looked like sausages and I could feel how tight they were when I made a fist. The ones I take say to take with meals and at bedtime, not to exceed 4 in one day. BUT I don't use them regularly- I'm sure that wouldn't be healthy unless prescribed by an MD. You might check them out at the store- read the information carefully, though- maybe check with your MD or his/her nurse first. Other than that, I don't know- keep chugging the water so your body knows it doesn't have to hang onto the excess. My guess is that your WI will still be affected tonight, which I know will be disappointing, but just think what an awesome WI you'll have next week! I'm heading over to google to look up recommendations of sodium- I think my problem is that I've been getting too much of it and that's why I retain.
Someone suggested eating a couple of cucumbers during the day. I really don't know if that works or not
I gained last week 1.6 after having a near perfect WW week and all I can attribute it to was fluid - it was hot. Lost 1 last nite so hopefully it is coming back off
Hope you have a good WI - we all have to remember it is JUST A # - IT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO EVALUATE HOW WE FEEL - I KNOW I AM HAVING A HARD TIME WITH THAT RIGHT NOW AND REALLY HAVE TO GET MY MIND BACK IN THE GAME
