Best Feeling in the world....

  • I was wondering what everyone's best feeling in hte world was. Or an experinece that just made them SMILE form ear to ear for days, or even an hour??

The reason why I ask is because I had something happen to me last night that has NEVER happened before.....

I am not the biggest I have ever been, and also not the smallest either. But I have been so down on myself latly because of my weight. So I have been working out eating healthy watching everything I put into my mouth etc. For about well 2 months, more or so more serious for the past month. ANYHOW Last night I was grocery shopping at farmer jack, picking out some plums for my lunch this week and this man older gentlemen maybe low 60's high 50's walks up to me out of no where and says "Ma'am you are absolutly gorgous" I looked up in shock and said "thank you" with all the confidence in the world. He looked at me and smiled and kept walking. His cart was empty, and I never saw him again in the store. I was there for about an hour longer, I looked as I was shopping just to see if he was around. I don't know what it was about this man to make him come up to me, but he touched me in so many different ways. I needed to hear that in a weird way.
I just had to share this because I have wanted to quite this whole dieting and working out thing because of how I have been feeling. It's almost like he was a angel. Not that I beleive in that stuff, but I wasn't even going to go there, but I MADE myself go so I wouldn't eat anymore junk food for lunch and etc.
Sorry to ramble, but I wanted to share and see if anyone else had a similar experience...that made them feel like they were on
  • That's great JustForUs! The only time a man ever came up to me in a supermarket, he was really creepy and followed me around, and I had to leave before buying everything because I was afraid of him. I'm glad to hear you had a better experience!

The funniest experience I had with a random strange man was right after New Year's a while back, when I was walking around town on my own (not in Providence, this was in Long Beach, CA), wearing a really low-cut shirt (I am pretty buxom and tend to attract sleazy comments), and this man walking towards me said as he passed "Happy NEW Year!!" in this hilarious tone of voice. That totally cracked me up!

As for a moment . . . the first thing that's coming to mind actually is when I spent the summer in Livermore, CA (near San Fransisco), a few years ago, my boyfriend came up to visit me and we went in to the city together. I have this vivid memory of sitting on the BART with him being like !! We had a semi-LDR for a long time (2 years), and that was one of the happiest visits I can remember.
  • I should chime in on this..

I was at a restaurant a week or so ago and a waitress walked past me and said "oh my god I just have to tell you that you are so beautiful" everyone in the place heard her! It was a little embarrassing but pretty uplifting.

Another time was about a week before that, I was at this awesome BBQ place and our waitress said "you have the greatest hair, its so cute" and I said thanks.. and she said "no really, your really pretty" once again, a little
    embarrassing.

Its better that it wasent men (when that happens I keep it to myself, my fiance gets really upset) I cant remember the last time a guy said something like that to me.. guess it has to do with being pregnant.

This is a neat thread.. I hope more people post!

  • Pinkbow, I see your ticker says TTC Oct 1st). Will you and your fiance be trying again in Oct?
  • Yeah, hopefully

We talked about it the other night.. it's taken awhile to come to an agreement, but I'm taking online college courses and we have a plan now. I need to lose more weight and after I start my classes we will be trying again.

It's harder after you lose a baby.. the decision to try to have a baby is stressfull, each person has a different view. But taking classes and being pregnant at the same time should be cool, by the time the baby is born I will be done with my first year!!

But I have 3 SERIOUS goals now !! I am even more excited to lose the weight..

  • It's great to hear you've decided to try again. I read your first post, but I didn't feel I had anything to add to what others said. So I'm really really happy to hear you're feeling better now - and congratulations on the compliment you got from that man! Good luck with your goals too - having them, and when they come truly from you and you're supported does feel great!
