The joys of Kool-Aid!

  • Sugar-free kool-aid that is. I tried Lemon SF kind today, it tastes just like lemonade, no sugar, no carbs, and just 5 calories per serving. Great way to get down more water, and it was delicious. I'm going to try some other flavors, hopefully they'll be as good.
  • I checked the nutritional profile and it looks good. Although the sodium in a single serving is not a problem, it could add up to too much depending on the amount you drink in a day and your weightloss could stall.
Perhaps you could make it half strength or glug a glass of plain water every second time.
  • My Dh used to call kool-aid smacky juice. I we used to buy 20 packets every grocery day. The smell of it now makes me ill. Glad you can drink it though. Maybe you could water it down some?
  • Yeah, I'm limiting it...just a glass here or there when I'm starting to get sick of water. Water is still my first choice!
  • The grape and fruit punch flavors are really good, and they're pretty strong so I always water them down. I'd never even thought to check the sodium content!
  • I had the grape one a few months back and it is strong. I still do 32 oz. of water, 32 of something else SF, 32 of water

I also like Lipton Green Teas (diet version of course)
  • I bought the crystal light lemonade and raspberry individual servings for when I go to disneyland at the end of the week! I tried one and it was also really strong. I got them, not to replace water, but to have with meals if I want something besides water!! I also am planning on bringing some instant decaf ice tea!
I almost always only drink water, but I figured I may want something else looking at all the different choices available at the parks! So I want to be prepared!!
  • I love diet kool aid. When I was pregnant and had gestational diabetes its all I drank. So odd how when I cant have the "real" stuff suddently diet stuff tastes so good!
