Suckered again. I found the nutrition information for my favorite pizza joint online, and figured out that a personal pizza was only 4 points (sausage and mushroom) and boy was I thrilled!! So I went there for lunch today with my two girlfriends and was so pleased with myself and the sensible lunch I had, until I got to thinking about the WW and LC pizzas- why are they 6 or 7 points? So I went back to the nutrition information and noticed that a serving size of a personal pizza is 1/4 of the whole thing. NO!! So instead of being a 4 point lunch, it was a 16 point lunch!! Oh, my, do I ever feel like an idiot! I should have realized it right away, too good to be true and all of that, but I ask you: Wouldn't you think a "personal pizza" is meant for just one person, to eat in one serving? So, I had a big plate of broccoli and a little piece of chicken for dinner. Sniff.
The thing is, I feel like we dieters get scammed all the time- low fat, reduced calorie, "lite" foods- they seem to be more expensive, aren't they? Like, regular sliced cheese vs fat free sliced cheese- you get twice as much of the full fat for half the price! It seems like everywhere I turn, somebody is making a buck off of a person who is trying to lose weight...
So, Sorry to vent. I guess I'm a little cranky. It WAS good broccoli, though, and I splurged with a piece of FF cheese!
