UGH -- and a question for WWers

  • I had a total pigout last night. Ironically, I made it through two days of BBQs without going over my points, except for a few flex points. But then last night I ate everything in sight. But I'm not here to complain. It happened, it's over. On to bigger and better things. But I do want some advice. I'm going to figure that last night used up all my flex points plus some (yeah, it was THAT bad). So I figured if I stick to 22-point days Wed, Thu and Fri, I'll eat the same amount of points that I would have if I had done my regular 30 a day plus the flex points. Does that make sense? Or should I just eat my regular 30 a day and take what I'm sure would be a gain? Suggestions anyone?
  • When I was going to WW meetings, our leader always stressed how important it is NOT to eat under your minimum daily points. (This was back when the points were done in ranges, I know it's different now.) The best thing to do is just get right back on the horse and keep going.

From my experience, trying to eat too little has done nothing but screw me up. My body's all "oh man, not enough food, store fat, STORE FAT!" when I don't get enough calories, and I either maintain or gain. I rarely lose anything in that scenario.

So take a deep breath, realize that binges (I prefer to call them "poor choice days") happen every now and again, and don't beat yourself up. You may even wind up seeing a loss this week.

    Good luck!
