Well...
I set out on a weight loss and fitness journey 3 weeks ago, with the scale showing 148 lbs. About a week later, I was at 141 lbs or so. And since then, it's been 143 or 144... no matter what I do!
So, what am I doing wrong? Nothing is changing - the numbers on the scale, body shape, size and feeling are all the same... And I've been really good - hardly any day without exercise and eating reasonably.
Any ideas, suggestions, hint? Please help... I'm getting worried that I won't reach my September goal...
To give more details:
EXERCISE: pretty much every day, aiming for high intensity and variety
At the gym, I work out a kind of a "gazelle" and on the bikes (hate the treadmill...), attend fitness classes - aerobics, step, aquafit. I also swim and ice skate about 2 times/week each, walk a lot and always use the stairs. If I don't make it to the gym, I skip rope at home and/or play badminton.
I've also been doing Yoga and Pilates classes this summer, and recently started doing additional stretching exercises at home.
FOOD: trying to stick with light, small, frequent meals; drinking lots of water
breakfast --> cereal with 1% milk, sometimes some fruit
iced latte (no sugar, 1% milk)
lunch --> usually sushi (8 pieces) and an apple or carrots
Later in the day I have fruit and/or veggies, more or less the same amount each day. I've been eating quite a bit of cherries because I absolutely love them, but it can be a veggie salad (little or no dressing), cantaloupe, watermelon, strawberries, carrots, broccoli, red pepper, cucumber...
Just in case someone says this is too little - I assure you it's not - I get filled very easily and have been eating little all my life

You need to keep track of how MUCH you are eating and record your calories. I also recommend that you add some protein to your evening meal.
I am going to change my menu and do my workouts, but I'm so scared now. I don't think I can really explain how important this is to me - unless those 20 pounds go by the end of August, I'll have to stay...
