Tired Tuesday Menu, June 21, 2005

  • I can't believe it's almost 10 and no one did a menu thread. That is NOT a good sign for today's eating!

    Breakfast: Oatmeal made with skim and 1/2 cup homemade applesauce cooked in

    Lunch: LO turkey made into turkey salad with a cut up tomato

    Snack: Chocolate Cherry smoothie

    Dinner: White Chicken chili and corn cakes that I didn't make yesterday

    so far ive eaten 2 eggs, and 5 egg whites. later i will have an apple. then for lunch im having a chicken sandwich on 2 sl. lite rye w veggies mustard and lite mayo and some grapes and dinner is a salad and some wheat ziti w lite cheese.
  • I use one packet of Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate Mix. It's SF/FF and we are allowed one of these per day. I put the mix in the blender with 1 cup of skim milk and 1/2 cup rounded frozen cherries. Blend and enjoy! Tastes like a black forest shake (if you use your imagination a bit!)

    Breakfast: 1 banana, decaf w/light cream (ya I know I should have eaten more! - now I'm starving!).

    Lunch: so I FOUND dd eating my already packaged lunch last night when I cam downstairs for a snack!!!!!! I was really hoping for that leftover pasta and chicken and sauce! Instead I had some boiled eggs in the fridge so I have made a vat (4 eggs) of egg salad - had to use lf dressing as my ff has gone bad (do you find you don't use it up fast enuf?)...will buy a salad downstairs to go with it.

    Snack: apple and sf/ff yogurt, popcorn

    Dinner: have some ground beef in fridge or fresh salmon - will see what I"m in the mood for!

    l: side caesar salad and part of baked potato from Wendys, LO black beans
    s: beef jerky (don't ask)
    d: chicken fried rice YUM!!!
    s: edy's light chocolate ice cream (better than divulging in the real stuff, right?)

    l--bbq chicken breast, black-eyed peas, mixed veggies
    s--fruit salad (about 2 cups)
    d--lettuce/tomato/ff ranch, cheese crackers, kathy's 5 can soup
    s--i'm going to have vickie's chocolate cherry smoothie. thanks for the idea, vickie.
  • It's SO good, Sandra. I just had one this afternoon and enjoyed it so much on a hot day. It's very choclatey and sweet and helps me when I'm craving chocolate.
