Late starting this thread too . . . How is everyone doing, now that it's basically summer? It finally warmed up here, now it is gorgeous! But now I have had to break out the sunblock too, I already got burned once!

Something I noticed today that I thought was kind of weird . . . Time flies really fast! I was thinking "I have been losing at a pretty good rate lately," then I realized that I only lost 2 lbs in the entire month of May. May went by really fast!

Anyone planning any exciting summer vacations?

Time does go by fast. It seems like the older you get, the faster it goes. Both the pools here in our apartments are closed. They really could have chosen a better time to redo the fencing surrounding them I love swimming. Everyone used to call me a fish when I was little. I would spend the whole day at the pool if I could. Usually by now I would have gotten a burn or two I wish I had an exciting summer vacation planned....I wish I was taking a roadtrip up to Washington State to see my family. That would be really cool. I'm having withdrawls The cash situation isn't looking too good right now though. Damn money. I'm feeling really lazy today I think I overdid it yesterday.

Sorry, I've been MIA lately, just got settled in from moving, and have been working on a side project that had me distracted, but is good.

I joined a new gym yesterday, it's totally awesome, way better than my old gym. Tonight I'm meeting with a trainer, will be doing a body fat %, uh-oh, and some other things, so am about to find out how out of shape I am. I really don't care though, I'm so happy to be back at the gym, it's been 2 weeks since my last workout!!!!! I have been really missing it!

I got so excited about joining the gym yesterday, that I went and treated myself to some new workout stuff, Nothing fancy, just new! I love Walmart, they have the best cheap workout stuff, I bought some cute bikers, tanks, and a new sports bra, that is always a good motivator to!

Yea!!!! Tomm is Friday!

I wish we had a decent gym here that did body fat testing...I'm really curious.

And I totally agree about Walmart having good deals...I got my first ever tankini there 2 years ago and first bikini last year and got compliments on both!

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to post because after three weeks of no results I finally lost 3 lbs this week.... I was so excited! All that exercise and calorie counting is finally starting to pay off yay!!

Spill (should we call you Spill, or Beans?) -- you're doing great! I don't even want to know what my body fat percent is, I had it tested once when I was a teenager and it was something ridiculously high (like 35-40 or something, LOL).

Megan -- I want to know all about Aruba too!

Liz -- I want to know my body fat too, but my gym is a university gym, so if you want to talk to a trainer you have to pay for 12 sessions! I agree that Walmart has good deals, I got a nice swimsuit there a couple years ago. My tankini is from Old Navy though!

Jessie -- You are so right, the older I get the faster time goes by. I remember back when I was a kid, a month was HUGE, and a year was unfathomable! Nowadays I'm thinking "June, it's almost September already!"

I had something funny/gross happen this morning . . . at breakfast I was eating some toast and I got myself a glass of milk, which I had to open a new gallon to pour out (we bought too much milk and had like four gallons at once! This morning we were down to two). I drank most of it, then gave the last bit to my bf because I didn't want anymore. He took a sip and was like "Ew! This milk is totally sour!" He grabbed the gallon jug and was like "smell this!" and it smelled TOTALLY nasty. Then he was like "How did you manage to drink a whole glass of that stuff??" I didn't even notice when I was drinking it! Oh well, it won't hurt me.

Another funny thing was that I realized I haven't lost in a couple weeks . . . then I remember that I have been eating cake and candy every night for the past week and a half! No wonder I'm not losing! On the good side though, my waist is getting smaller and smaller, and I think while I have no chance of meeting my 140 lbs by July 2 goal, I have a pretty darn good chance of squeezing into a size 8 by then! My current measurements are smack in the middle of 8 and 10 according to Old Navy's size chart. I'm pretty hippy though, so my hips are closer to 10 but my waist is closer to 8. I'm totally pumped, I haven't been in an 8 since like 11th grade!

what the H, spill, "carry your weight well?" did this moron not notice that you are 5'11"? I sometimes think in terms of "add five pounds for every inch"... so i am 5'5" which means if I was 5'11" i would be 168 pounds, which is what you weigh now. THEREFORE since I am hot, you must be too. AND AND AND if you were 155, I'd have to be 125. So, are you telling me that I should be 125?? (did anyone understand ANY of that???) funny, my trainer sorta wants me to weigh 125 as well. JERKS. i'm the one who should be the trainer, darnit.

well girls, fine, i'll tell you about aruba. it was great and beautiful and don't hesitate to go there because one girl happens to be missing at the moment. the resort was great, our suite was amazing, i totally was living in the lap of luxury. bf and i went crazy shopping and i got a gucci bag, gucci sunglasses and a new watch (tag) -- he got one too. stuff is cheaper there and there is no tax. i got a great tan but now its all gone (i havent been tanning). i wore my bikinis and looked alright -- didn't really care. there wasn't a ton of young hot girls around or anything... it's mostly adults and some families so i didnt feel self conscious at all. I gained 10 pounds while there... but I had lost 10 pounds beforehand (DON'T ASK -- ok fine I did a detox diet -- I do not recommend it for others!!) so i am the same weight now. oh and i won some money at the casino playing slots, i hate gambling but played for like 5 mins anyway and won $400, rock on. so that's pretty much it -- i just laid out, swam, ate some food, hung out with bf -- good stuff!! i'm ready for my next vacation now, please.

paperclippy -- you probably are an 8. screw old navy. i could never fit my butt into their pants. i know what you mean about being pumped. i never even SAW size 6 growing up... by the time i got out of kids sizes, i think i was already a size 12... if those kids from middle school could see me now...

hey speaking of which, i was just thinking about this guy that i was in love with in middle school. i'm gonna go google him and see what i can find..............

Tanny I know what you are saying about the sizes. I've never been a size 6 in my life up till now and it is so exciting. Too bad I am living across the country from where I grew up so I don't get to run into people that are amazed by my progress that often. The only hard part is having to get rid of clothes that I used to love that hang off me and look all dumpy now.
