Stability Ball Workouts

  • Can anyone recommend any workout DVDs using a stability ball? I've tried using printed instructions and workout routines from books, but they don't give me enough motivation to keep it up. I need something more guided.

The selection at local stores seems pretty limited, but looking online has me confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  • Here are a couple geared towards trainers:

The last one is volume 1 of a 2 volume series. They are excellent and really contain EVERYTHING you could possibly do on a stability ball.

  • There are also a lot of stability ball workouts at
    http://www.collagevideo.com

You can see descriptions, reviews, and 30-60 second previews from the videos. They also list the length of the videos, and if they are for beginners, intermediates, and advanced!
  • How about this one?
I got pretty confused too when I looked on Amazon (I always also look at the collage website it is fantasic

For me I am lost without a video or DVD while working out. I finally decided on Quick Fix Stability Ball work out I really like it the whole tape is 30 min but it has 3 10 minute sections one for stomach, legs and a work out with weights for arms. Today I did the the arms and stomach workout at 5:30am
    I quite liked it.

    Goodluck!
  • Thanks for the suggestions! I found the "For Dummies" stability ball DVD on a good clearance price, so I bought that just so I'd have SOMEthing. I'm not out much if it isn't any good, but I'll definately pursue the others
  • The Dummie series videos are good for beginners actually, because they really explain the exercises and proper form to use-they have videos for the ball, yoga, Pilates, and strength training.
They go slow-but they really explain things well, and sometimes that is what you need if you are not in a gym or with a trainer-and don't have anyone to explain things properly to you.
  • Aphil, I agree, I have the fitness ball workout for dummies and it really helped me to see how to really use my ball.
  • Mel...those dvd's look awesome! I started out with the dummies version, and a few others, but Im ready to move onto something more intense. Ive been having a hard time finding stab-ball workouts that werent too fluffy. These dont look fluffy!! Thanks for posting those!!
