Michael Thurmond six weel body makeover plan?

  • Has any one tried this plan? good? Bad? I have taken the quiz from the web site and says I'm a body type A. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  • I found some info in another thread!
  • Hello, I was reading Woman's World and say this diet. I am working on it today, this is my first day. CAn you tell me what website you went to?
  • I read about it in Woman's World too. I'm going to do the "6 day weight loss" described in the article and see how it goes. (First I have to go shopping though.) According to the article I have an oval shape and in my personalized menue it says I have to eat "lean beef" for breakfast. Yuck! I have no idea what kind of beef I could eat in the morning without gagging. Any suggestions?

Anyway, what other thread did you find info about this program on?

FatGottaGo, what body type are you? How did your first day go?
  • I am trying this diet havent got my kit yet but I am a type B and hope it works. Any help would be nice. Where did you go for information it seems like no one is talking.
  • Hi. I just started today. I'm a type B. The hardest part of this for me is going to be the strict avoidance of salt/sodium & fat, but it'll be good for me to try. Did anyone get the bonus info on the emotional eater? If so, could you share some of what they said about that? Thanks!
  • My husband and I did this (eek) two years ago and I lost 50 lbs, he lost 65. We lost most of the weight within 3 months, and evenutually got to our lowest in 9 months.

I am restarting the plan - modified with my knowledge of what works for me. I think it's a great plan, but can be very hard to get used to. No salt, dairy, grains, sugar etc. I personally add some salt because I used to get headaches when I limited it. The biggest part of this plan is the water. I was drinking 100 oz a day. I'm only up to about 60-75 now, and working my way back!

Let me know if you have any questions. Their website has a good support group too. provida.com
  • Michael Thurmans 6 week body makeover is a great plan.....I did it and lost some weight but not 30 pounds in six weeks. I'm a type B and could not have red meat, dairy, or bread. So it was tough giving all that up. I did like the workouts and the 6 small meals a day. There is no fast food at all on this plan, there is alot of preparing of foods, etc. It is a lifestyle change for sure.....
  • Oh one more thing, the website where you can find his group's posting is on Provida.com
  • I'm just starting this plan today. I am a body type A. I got my kit in the mail Friday and just got a chance to read it and set everything up last night. From reading the materials, it's not just a "diet."

    HottieInHiding,
Did you do the accelerated plan? How did you like it overall?
  • It is a life style change......you eat what makes your body work right, drink alot of water, exercise alot.....

You have to be in this 100% or it will be over whelming.

When I did the plan I loved it, especailly the workout part. I was a type B and had to give up red meat, dairy, sweets and salt.......no fast foods at all, and I don't like to cook....But it was ok for awhile. I didn't lose at the rate they said I would either.

But everyone is different and you will probably do well if you do it 100%
