Gotta Brag--Latest Bloodwork Results

    When I had my bloodwork done last January, my results were as follows:

    Weight: 196
    Total Cholesterol: 233
    Triglyercides : 597 OMG!!
    A1C: 5.8

    Current Results:

    Weight: 180
    Total Cholesterol: 188 !!!
    Triglycerides: 245!!!
    A1C: 5.5

    I'm pretty doggoned proud of myself!

    Wow great work!!! You've had a good weight loss too. And look what it did for all the other numbers.

    What is A1C? What are normal triglyserides? (Can't you tell it's been awile since I had a physical!)

    Congratulations!

    Sandi, A1C has to do with blood sugar. It measures your average blood sugar over about a 3 month span.

    Per my last visit, over a year ago, their measurements for cholesterol were as follows:

    Under 200 for the total was good.
    Under 59 for HDL was good.
    Under 150 for Triglycerides was good.

    I hope that's right. At the time mine were all within normal limits...

    That's great news! Mine also became normal after starting on South Beach. I think I go back next month for my next checkup.

    How Wonderful.!.. sounds like SBD is really helping you !!! I hope my LDL and Tri's come down.. I've always had very baad cholesterol problems.
