I lost 70 pounds, now I'm back at it!

  • I lost 70 pounds, but then I moved to California, and had a few set backs...I am now ready to move on with my weight loss, but thought I wouldpost some before and during photosto show how far I've come.

  • Velvet,
Congrats on your weight loss! You look great. How did you do it? I am new to this site and am just beginning my weight loss journey. I would love to hear your story. We're here to help you get you through your tough time.

  • Wow!!! You're lookin' awesome! Keep up the good work!!!
  • :bravo:
    Velvet-
Congratulations! You've come a long way and you look great! I also have experienced setbacks and am now trying to pull myself back before I gain it all back again. I lost 43 lbs. two years ago and now have gained 20 of it back. I am determined to stop the gain at 20 and get back to where I was and then some! I'm happy that I've been able to SLAM on the brakes and pay attention to my body before I gained anymore. I've had a pretty good 2 weeks and have lost 5 lbs. Keep in touch and we'll help each other make our 'setback' a giant step forward towards better health and loose fitting clothes!

Thanks Terri, that's very sweet of you. How did I do it? Well I got some kind of cardio exercise 6 times a week, and strength training 3 to 4 times a week. I watched what I ate, kept it at 20-30% fat, ate complex carbs, and lots of water. I also ate about 1500-1800 calories a day.

I know you will get back on track and be at goal before you know it! Thank you so much for the encouragement,I appreciate it so much. Yes I willpost here often with the good the bad and the ugly. We'll both get through this, and be healthier and better looking for it.
  • Velvet - well done for having the motivation to pull yourself back on to the wagon. I know from bitter experience how hard it is to get back on track once you've gone off the rails - I lost 50lbs and regained 65lbs before I decided enough was enough!

And, by the way, your 'after' photos are fabulous!

    Kind regards, Janey
  • Dang chica! You look as thin as I do! Bigtime congratulations and good luck with the rest of the weight loss, you're doing great!
