Hello Everyone
First let me introduce myself, I'm Suzi, I lost 45lbs following my own diet and excercise plan and have kept it off for a year.
I have been lurking a while and enjoying all your posts, you are all wonderfully supportive
However I have encountered a problem which I don't know if any of you have come across. I came off the Pill 8 months ago after losing the weight, I have not had a natural period since. I have had loads of tests and my hormone levels are apparently normal.
I used to exercise a lot more than I do now I currently do cardio and strength training for 1 1/2 hrs 3 times a week, Pilates for 45mins 3 times a week and walk a lot, I also don't heavily restrict calories and fat, I have a treat if I want one and probably eat roughly 1800 calories on average a day. Has anyone alse had problems with amenorreah?? Any advice would be appreciated as I was hoping to start a family which looks unlikely at present.

You can ovulate before you start getting your period again. I'd suggest talking to your gyno.
I have been doing a lot of strength training and maybe need to cut down on that a bit if I want to get them back, obviously it is a bit of a scary thought to put weight back on but I suppose it is better to be healthy. It does strike me as strange though as I am 5' 6" also and my BMI is 21 which is ok, but I don't have the smallest frame so maybe a healthy weight for me is different to others of my height.
