My son has a Gamecube, which plays CD like games. One of his games is scratched pretty bad and doesnt want to play. Is there anything we can do about it to help it? I've heard toothpaste will work, but was scared to try until I asked around. TIA

I have never tried up, but looked up on google and found the following..
Toothpaste! Erin L.
My CD wouldn't even play it skipped so bad. A friend told me to use toothpaste. I tried it and it's just like new. Just put toothpaste all around it and wipe in an outward motion, not circular, and it should fix it right up
good luck !
Hi... there are commercial "kits" which CLAIM to be able to remove/repair scratches on CDs. I have heard mixed reviews of such products. I guess it's worth a try though.
I would think WAL-MART or any other major store would have these.
Let us know how you make out.

Well, I tried toothpaste and it didnt work.I'm going to order this stuff off of eBay that says it works. I hope it does. Thanks for the help.
Turtle Wax (gives that hard-shell finish....).
Also, NuPolish.
Good luck--don't waste a lot of money!

Toothpaste can work sometimes, but I think it's more for music CDs that skip some, not really for computer/xbox etc. games.
Thanks, I did get the stuff in from eBay, pretty fast too, it worked great. I was so happy. It was only like $3.50 too.
