I am 32 years old and 5 feet 9 inches tall. I weigh 265
and am working on losing 100 pounds. I have been "large" before, but this is the heaviest I have ever been; ironically, my diet and lifestyle is healthier than ever! I follow a strictly vegan (no animal products), whole-foods, high fiber, natural foods diet and teach yoga which has me doing 10 hours of yoga a week, minimum. I also work up quite a sweat when giving a massage! Apparently, all this is not enough to help me shed the weight that has steadily creeped on after a devestating car accident a few years ago
. So, I recently decided that seeing my weight creep up was no longer acceptable for me and I had to do something about it *NOW*!
So, last week I made the promise to myself that I would go to the gym at least 5 days out of 7 and focus on cardiovascular (fat burning) workouts. I also work in a weight training routine a few times a week and swim for fun.
I am looking forward to meeting with others who are on the path to wellness and would like to "buddy-up" with someone who is encouraging! I am a licensed health professional and enjoy fitness and natural health; I just need a little TLC!
