New Scale for Club

  • Our club is in a huge debate over getting a new digital scale. Some don't want the new scale and some do. I was wondering how many clubs have the new digital scale. And if you do how did you raise the money?

    Thanks for your input.
  • Our Tops group has the old kind of scales. They seem to work find, and I've heard no talk of changing. Belle
  • Ours has the old type. It works great (except that it won't seem to show a loss for me). I would be against getting a new digital one unless the old one was unreliable or was broken.
  • The issue that has come up that our scale does not weigh people that are really heavy. It only goes up to 350 and the new digital go up to 450 or some even higher. We have had people want to join and we had to tell them that our scale would not wiegh them.
  • Our scale only weighed up to 350 lbs. also, but we got an added weight that makes it go to 450 lbs. It cost about $50 and I believe we ordered it from the Scale people on the internet. I will check and get back to you. That is a lot cheaper than buying a new scale. And it is approved by tops.

  • Okay, I went and checked. It is "the Scale People" and the part is called a counterweight. The price is $48 plus shipping. The address is:

If you decide to order one, be sure to check your scale model number. They may have different ones for different models.

  • Thanks so much!
  • Hello
Our club used to have to old doctor type of scale. At Sears they have the digital Weight Watchers scale. We have that one . It is about 50.00. Some on our members have purchased one for themselves. We have a lot of older people and the dr 's type was just to hard for the weight recorders to read. Plus this one is Digital in nice big letters too.
