Mothers Day Thoughts

  • I thought this might be a nice thread to start.

Do you have any special Mom memories?

This could be about your Mom or about something your child/children did with You.

I'll come back shortly and share mine (boss is here lol).
  • Becoming a mother..................
    ..........was my greatest accomplishment.

I have had so many great moments as a mom.................I found out I was pregnant with my second child.....my son Zachary on mothers day...................he died when he was two in July............the first mothers day following his death a pile of tulips bloomed in my front garden.............as a special happy mothers day from him...........they have never bloomed before or since.

Have a great mothers day mom's!

  • Wow
Mothers Day comments..........I could fill the place with "feelings".
Motherhood is so complex and wonderful!

Yesterday I had on dress shoes and my 5 yr old Grandson (he is 5 today) said "your shoes "sound" pretty on the sidewalk" Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Heels on the sidewalk....SOUBD pretty.......is that sweet or what.

Also he was all dirty from playing outside and wanted to lay on my bed and watch GeorgeShrink.so I put an old blanket on the bed so he wouldnt get it dirty.....when I returned to the bedroom.he was snuggled UNDER the blanket and said " I like your soft blanket!" AGAIN.......awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
I couldnt say a word about his dirty little jeans and feet!

I am thankful to have my 79 yr old Mama.she is a little lively cutie.who line dances and is still sharp as ever in every way!

Loving being a Mother most of all because now I am a GRAND Mother of 4.what a joy!

    Counting my blessings daily!
  • What beautiful thoughts ladies....

Lets see, I remember watching my Mom leaving the house and walking up the road to go to work. I remember crying so much because I loved her so and didn't want to part. I still feel the same today about her. She is 79 and I thank GOD I have her in my life as well as my Daughters. Now my Daughter watches me walk away to go to work and she crys like crazy. My whole world wants to stop and turn around and not go to work. My Mom watches her during the day so I know she is well taken care of and thats what gets me through the days. Just knowing now how hard my Mom worked for us makes me really appreciate her and what she has done for me.

The end of my day is so special because when I reach my Mom's house I actually run up the stairs because I can't wait to see my DD who always yells "MOMMY" and comes running into my arms where she greets me with ooodles of kisses.

  • My mother has always supported me and stood by me through thick and thin.......she's 85, faster than me on some days and remembers more too. Feisty, tough and independant....(about 100 lbs. soaking wet)...the only time she accepted my assistance was for breast biopsy and surgery......she trusted me to find the best (who I work with) and I arranged the least stressful procedure....when I came to pick her up to take her home, she was having lunch with the nurses and some of my med. students!!! (they adored her).
  • Passing on it this year....
