Thursday Menu, May 5, 2005

  • Thought I'd be the one to start the menu thread tonight...

    b: malt o meal, strawberries, milk
    l: hamburger patty w/ketchup & mustard, salad, milk
    s: banana
    d: crockpot mixed beans and turkey ham, some veggie, milk (rest of family is having dinner rolls)

  • b: breakfast burrito from McDonald's and a COKE (a real one!)
    l: cup of black beans, low-carb tortilla with turkey and FF mozzarella
    d: ??
  • How's the backward eating going Kathy?

    My plan so far:

    Breakfast: 1 package instant oatmeal, decaf w/ff cream

    Snack: sf/ff yogurt

    Lunch: marinated grilled steak, 1/2 c peas, 3/4 c brown rice
    fresh strawberries

    Snack: forgot I'm in a meeting from 1-3 pm??? Maybe fruit after? or slice of lf cheese depends on "hunger level".

    Dinner: no idea! - I think we have some halibut in the freezer - I hear fish is good for you , salad, steamed carrots.

    snack: popcorn?

  • Breakfast: Oatmeal made with skim and 1/2 cup homemade applesauce

    Lunch: Eggbeater omelet with Borden FF american cheese and ketchup

    Snack: Chocolate cherry smoothie

    Dinner: Chipotle burrito bowl (chicken, whole pinto beans, salsa, lettuce, gaucomole, and cheese for points) with 1/2 cup brown rice cooked in broth at home.

    Snack: See how my stomach feels. I'm not really sure that I'm up to Chipotle for dinner

    S - fruit
    L - honking big salad with tuna and apple
    S - fruit
    D - chicken and potatoes and bok choy
    maybe I can get away with no evening snack tonight. Hmmm let's see

    I think I need an avocado in my salad, yeah, that's a good idea.
  • B: mini-wheats with banana & ff milk
    L: LO crab stuffed potato, salad
    S: Applesauce, grapes
    D: LO Mexican crockpot chicken (tasty!), zucchini-carrot salad

    l: sandwich (2pts) w/fruit
    s: salad w/ranch (not core but i don't care); fruit
    d: i think hamburgers w/ potatoes and a veggie (?)
    s: i don't know, not feeling very good right now

    s: had some chocolate sf/ff pudding w/ff cool whip
    maybe some comfort-food popcorn later

    no exercise today b/c i felt so sick, still do.
