Good morning ladies. I decided to get in here early this morning. Yesterday when I checked, there were already 30 posts, and I was already late getting into work, so couldn't respond to everyone. Today I'm here early, so will have time to chat before work starts.
Ruth - Your day sounds busy, but also fun. I am looking forward to being able to get out into the yard. We are going to try to get out this weekend for a bit, and DH has taken a couple of weeks holidays to finish the yard clean up and look after me.
Bamiegurl - You can keep the storms there, girl.

Although I don't mind the storms, we have just started to have warmer weather without the extras of rain and snow, so I would like to enjoy that for a bit before the wet weather starts. Take care.
tar - You have a busy day, too. Have fun this weekend.
ellis - DH and I have a breakfast date every Friday morning. It gives us a bit of a break to our routine and is a really nice way to start off the weekend. Have fun.
Jamie - Hope you have fun on your field trip with the kids. Do make a definite plan for your food BEFORE you go - don't waiver with a mental attitude that you are not strong enough. It really will help to keep you disciplined and on track with your eating. I know that, when I go out for dinner with the idea that I will TRY to stay OP, that is when the temptations are too great.
2BFIT1 - Sounds like you have a great day planned. By the way, what is the lime for?
bonnieb624 - Your poor son. I bet the finger hurts like heck. Hope it heals quickly and that there aren't any lingering problems. Hope your date is super.
BB - It's good to hear that your cold is finally getting better. Do watch your eating and make sure that you stay OP as you are regaining your appetite. It sound like the weather in many places is not very good, but you can all keep your storms. I like the sunshine here just fine.
Me - Yesterday was a busy day. I went to the hospital for blood work, raced to work and am now trying to get organized to be away for a few weeks. Today I have to take DM to the cancer clinic for her post-op assessment, so that will be a treat, then back to work to get more catching up done.
One of the carpenters here at work just made a cupboard front for us to put over the laundry shute that we are installing. I picked it up yesterday and it is truly beautiful. Hubby tried it on the hole yesterday and it fits absolutely perfectly. This laundry shute has been a test of patience... 25 years ago, when we built the house, I wanted a laundry shute installed. DH said that the contractor said that it wouldn't fit. For the first few years I kept looking at the space and doing a 'bit' of nagging about the shute. Finally DH measured the space and said that he was able to put one in, but he had to move a wall 8". Of course, I agreed this would be OK, since the 8" move meant that my closet was bigger. As he started the reno, he had to move electrical wires, plumbing vents, cold air returns. On one part of the wall, the bathroom fixtures were located on the other side, so they were now 8" from the wall, so needed to be moved. I decided that we should update the fixtures and put a jacuzzi in. I finally found a 5' jacuzzi to fit in the space, so bought it. When we got it home and ready to install, we discovered that it was about 1/2" too big to fit in the space. Soooo, DH had to build a deck for the jacuzzi and turn it on an angle in the bathroom where it ran into the toilet. Yep, that had to be moved, too. Then it was time to cut the hole in the floor for the shute - the vaccuum system ran right through the hole.
Anyway, that has all been finished, the shute was built on the floor below, but we never got the cupboard facing for the shute. We now have that and will be able to have it up and the shute operational within the next couple of weeks. It has only taken about 22 years since DH agreed that I could have the laundry shoot.
Hope everyone has a great day on the beach. Take care.
