Wanted: Buddy for moral support and exhange of recipes and meal plans

  • Hi to all. I've been lurking around here for years, but just started posting. I think I'm finally ready to make a life-long commitment to a healthy way of living. I am a 38 year old female, single, with no kids. I've lived in Illinois pretty much my whole life. I have 5 fur children. I'm 5'0" even, and have about 50 pounds to lose. I'd like to hear from others who are cooking for one. I'd love some simple to make recipes, especially vegetarian ones. I want to give and receive support and encouragment. I have a sedentary job, and I hate exercise with a passion, so I'm sure exercise will be my biggest problem. The main thing that prompted me to get serious about weight loss was a bad lab report from my last check up. My triglycerides were too high. (I'm also a really bad speller, so if that bothers you a lot, you may want to pass on being my buddy.) I've got no age limit on the buddy, so if anyone is interested, please reply or send a private message.
  • Hi Autumn Night! I'm 29, married in TX. No children except for my three dogs and two cats. Anyway, I also have a sedentary job. I like to exercise but I'm just lazy. I've started a thread called "Another Bites the Dust" so if you want to jump on that and say hello please do. I'm pretty new at this but so far everyone seems very nice. I'm considering starting weight watchers or counting calories (it's basically the same type of thing to me). Also, I'm going to start walking.. which reminds me the dogs look ready for some excitement. Anyway, I would love to have you join our group of buddies. We really want to encourage each other. I'll pull together some recipes and hopefully we can help each other reach our goals!
