I'm new ~ what were your first week results?

  • Hi, brand new here and trying to get an idea of the potential of this way of eating.

I'm 5'2", 157 lbs. needing to lose 35-40 pounds. Anyone with similar stats like to share their first week results?

    Anyone count calories too?

    Thanks bunches!

    Tia
  • Hi I don't remember the total for the first week but for the two weeks it was 17 pounds . Good luck - I hope you enjoy this new way of life as much I as do

  • Hi, I am also new to this. I'm 5'4, 169 lbs, with a goal of 125 lbs. My results for this first week are a lose of 6 lbs. I am not worrying myself with counting calories just yet. I am still trying to get over the sugar withdrawls. Good Luck.

  • Welcome, Tia and Ashley. There is a recent thread answering the same question. I lost 8 on the first pass through Phase I. It definitely depends on how much you need to lose, your age and whether you've "dieted" before. I'll try to find the old thread and bump it up.
  • I just finished the first week of Phase 1 and I've lost 3. My BF has lost 5. Hopefully next week I will lose more. I am over my sugar withdrawl so I am going to start walking on the treadmill. My goal for wwek 2 is 6lbs. Wish me luck!
  • This is the end of my first week. I've lost 6 lbs. Sugar withdrawal is done and feeling satisfied with my meals. Welcome and good luck!
  • I just had my first weigh in on Phase 1 since I started last Monday (1 week ago). I lost 5 pounds. I have also been walking a mile a day. I am sure that helps. I am 5' 3".
I am so amazed at how many things have sugar in them. The SBD has made me very aware of everything I put into my mouth. Did you know that even seasoned salt has sugar???? Why??????? No wonder we are an overweight, diabetic bunch of people. I never even knew I was putting most of it in my mouth!
Anyway, good luck ladies. Every single pound counts. I compare my 5 pounds to 5 pounds of ground beef, or 20 sticks of butter........it really makes a difference!
    Good luck to you all!

  • I've not been able to get to my scale yet, but I am on day 9 of Phase I for my second time around. However many pounds you lose the first few weeks just understand that this really does work if you stick to it. Take time to notice how you FEEL after carb withdrawls subside. I feel incredible once again! (Though that could be because of the Taco Bake last night..... )
