  • Let's have a great day, everybody!

B: boiled egg (and a coke on the way to work at 4:30 this morning -- thank goodness McDonald's drivethru is 24 hours!)

    Sn: banana

L: small salad, 1/2 pita with turkey

D: tomato soup, cheese toast with Sara Lee Delightful 100% wheat bread

...and of course, the usual tons of water!
  • This is going to be a hard day for me to plan because I'm eating out twice. Here's what I think now.

Breakfast: Oatmeal made with skim and 1/2 cup cooked homemade applesauce

Lunch: Eggbeater omelet with avocado and salsa. Fruit cup.

Snack: Banana because it is portable

Dinner: Salad, steak, baked potato, some kind of veggies

    Snack: ?
  • (I'm editing here to reflect what I really ate)
b: malt o meal, banana, milk
l: planned 3 bean salad, really had 2 scrambled eggs w/slice of ff cheese, pear, milk
s: apple, a bunch of jelly beans, 2 bites of chocolate bunny, 5 saltine crackers from dd's lunch
d: planned chicken fried rice & peas, really had a few bites of leftover Egyptian rice, leftover pizza casserole, corn, the crust of dd's pizza, milk
    s: popcorn

OK, now I feel a little better being truthful. I guess the really bad stuff happened during my out-of-control eating time - between 2 and 4.

My dinner changed only because we were outside playing frisbee too long and I didn't have time to make what I had planned. Hey, activity with the family is good, right? And I DID exercise today - I did 10 minutes of Pilates this morning, 30 minutes of DDR this afternoon, and at least 30 minutes of playing outside with the family later in the afternoon.

I think I'll try to edit my menus at the end of each day to see how badly they deviate...

    Angela

I checked my weight this morning after Thursday and I am down half a pound. I shall carry on with Core and just do my best to learn how my body feels.

    Have a good day all.

    Frouf
  • Froufie! Welcome back!! Tell us how the trip went.

I agree - it's always harder to get back on the wagon than climbing on the first time. We know you can do it! When you have time, you should browse the CIW (Core Inspiration Week) threads from last week. There is lots of good stuff there...

    Angela
  • LOL, Angela!! Do you think I'm going to edit mine and add the beer (yes, the beer) and the onion rings? Um, no. Instead I'm going to celebrate life and all of the related goofy quirks that go with it and be glad that I am CONSCIOUS and able to make my own decisions, whether good or bad.

I'm also going to grab my DH when he comes home from class tonight and tell him how happy I am that we are alive and well and should act like we used to!

Um ... too much beer? Aw, who cares! I just want us to all get along!!!
  • Oh geez ... re-reading it ... that's what watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition does for me! It makes me realize how good I have it!
  • Kathy, it's good to realize how great your life is! Everyone needs perspective.
  • Sweet Vickie! You are so right! I just can't get enough of life right now, which makes me a little too carefree at times, but I just feel like singing and dancing.

    Wonder if I'm bi-polar?
  • I don't know about bi-polar, but you have said you think you have a couple of personalities!!!!!!

BTW, I like all the ones I've met!
  • And we are all pleased to meet you, too! It's all a mystery, but that's what makes us all unique.

I have a very close coworker who just had a kidney transplant, and is now going thru a test situation with bile duct problems. We'll know more tomorrow. This same friend has a 19 year old DD who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 4 years ago (at age 15!!!), had surgery and chemo and is now fine, but good Lord, what a scare!!! And *I* think *I* have problems????????? Not a chance!!
