100lbs to lose, WW Online

  • Looking for someone with approximately 100 lbs to lose. I seriously need someone who knows what it feels like to need to lose 100 lbs.

I'm married (9 years), currently living on a US Military post in Germany, and have four kids (6 1/2, 8 1/2, 12 and 17). I'm new here so don't really know anyone.

Anyway.... I believe my email is in my profile...didn't someone say to not put emails in messages? If not there, please leave a message here. I'll check back ASAP. I share computer with hubby and now that he's off during the day, it's even harder to get my time in. We're six hours ahead of those in Eastern Time in the States...btw.

Hope to hear from you soon!

  • Hi there!
Hi Des! I hope that you are doing well..........did you ever find a buddy on this ever so long WW journey? I've just rejoined WW for the umpteenth time. I really should get a 'frequent joiners' discount!
  • Omigawd!
OMIGAWD! I just saw my post pop up and it says that I joined 3FC in 2000.......and I'm STILL the same size! .......let me go retch now...........trying not to let depression sink in...........I've got to go take a walk b4 I do something chocolate related!
  • I could use a buddy too
Hey, I'm in the same boat...I would LOVE a buddy!
  • buddy time
ok houndlv1, looks like it's you and me doing the buddy thing.

My WI is tomorow and I've done good this week--it was my first week on WW (again) and I chose to use the Points system. Since I've been working out since Dec, I don't expect a huge drop in lbs since I've been at about 1 lb a week already; but I wouldnt mind a big ole drop!

Maybe I'll do CORE next week now that I understand it more.......what are you doing?
  • Welcome Des,
I have around a hundred to lose too. I just joined here today. I lived in Bamberg for a while- back when my hubby was in the army. We are currently overseas again in Istanbul. I loved Germany when we were there. Do you like it? I think finding points for foreign food (At least in Turkey) is very hard. Do you have the same problem there? Have a Spezi for me (Light of course)

  • Count me in too. But I live in the States. Can I still join. I just joined WW on Wednesday night. I so know what if feels like to lose 100 pounds. I have 125 or so to lose. I am doing The Flex program but thinking of going to CORE. I have been reading a ton about it. Just need to make a plan and shop for it. Then I will know which one I want to do most of the time.

Right now my goal is to lose 50 before we go to Disney in Nov.
  • Goals
Hi Savin! I know you will have a great time in Disney; I've been several times and love it. It's great to have a short term goal--if all I had to focus on was the 100+ lb loss, I would freak!

My short term goal is to weigh 250 or less by the end of June. We are going to a YMCA camp in Colorado and they have horseback riding. I've always wanted to go horseback riding and haven't been since the one time when I was a kid. Most places have a weight limit of 250lbs for horseback riding. If I don't go, my kids can't and my husband is 6'2 and over 250 too!

I've got 15 lbs to go til 250lb.........and I'm working out like a fiend!
  • Hi Kidsmom:
You can do it! I want to lose the 50 by Nov. I did lose 1.2 this week. I would have thought more but I got sick and once I start taking meds I am done.

I sure hope more people post it would be great to get a group going.

The camp sounds really cool. I know you will love to go horseback riding with the kids.
  • Monday night and all's well
Hey Savin.........congrats on your 1.2 loss this week. I hope that my #'s drop this Wed......I gained 1.5 last week (it was a killer of a weekend b4 that!) and I'm trying to re-lose that 1.5 lbs. I hate doing that twice!

I'm going to have to focus some more on cookingf--I'm so done with chicken. WOrk has been stressful and will continue to be so until mid-June.......at least I'm not snacking poorly! WOrking at home is great, except that you have your own personal kitchen right there!

The one thing that always forces me to lose focus on WW is that to be successful, I have to think about food 24/7. How many points was that? What am I going to have for lunch? How many pts do I have left? What should I buy at the store? Points, Points, Points! It almost makes me want to try CORE, but I'm too scared! Lord, I love my bread and cereal----I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and try it one week.

    What are you doing?
  • Hi everyone,

I would love to join this group too. I joined WW last Monday, yesterday was my first weigh in, and I lost a whopping 8 lbs. I am thrilled. I have alot of weight to loose (well over 100), and I am scared I will loose focus, as I always do. I get burned out thinking about food & points as TheKidsMom was saying. I am currently on the points plan, I am not ready to deal with core, lets face it, if I ate only when I was hungry and stopped when I was satisfied, I wouldn't be in the boat I am now in.
  • Welcome
Hey Curvychick, you speak the truth about core........if I could only eat when I was hungry, I'd be a size 8!

An 8 lb loss is incredible---I'm so jealous........I'll take just a % of that tomorrow and be SOOOOO happy!

I too have a lot of weight to lose; I'm at 265 now........dreaming of 250. I will say that I'm 'thinner' than I've been in years, so I'm moving in the right direction. BUT IT"S TOOOO SLOW FOR ME! We live in such a world of instant gratification that spending a year or 2 losing weight seems like forever.

But then again, what else did I have to do? What I was doing was accomplishing nothing but adding on weight or staying status quo, so what the h#ll?

I'm glad we've all found this board; when I read those WW success stories about those sweet little things that lost 25 lbs, I'm happy for them, but secretly I;m thinking, "PULEASE! 25lbs is child's play! They should have to pay double! "

    Roll on big mamas!
