  • Hey everyone! Welcome to our little thread! We're glad you're here so pull up a chair and stay for a LOOOONG while!


    Hi everyone! :waves: How was your weekends? Mine was pretty good. I slept through a bunch of it. *sigh* But that's okay because I needed it. (still trying to get over a cold!)

    So I was thinking yesterday about things to make this journey easier. Not just the little tricks that we all learn, but perhaps an actual recording of the journey. Something beyond the rewards and ups and downs of the journey...something to record it for "posterity".

    Of course, I'm a writer so I journal all the time. But for some reason that feels unsatisfying to me this time. I feel like I need something more. So...

    I think I'm going to make a scrapbook of my journey. Something tangeble that I can look back on and say "boy do I ever NOT want to do THAT again!" or, should I be lucky enough to become a leader...someday...I can have for my classes to look through and see that, Yes it CAN be done.

    So that's one idea I have. I have others but I want to hear YOUR ideas. How are you going to chronicle this wonderful, scary, discovery of YOUR New Creation? How are you going to make it "thoughtful" so that it's not just mindless journaling of facts (food journal) or thoughts (written journal) so that YOU can look back and say "whoa! I did a great thing!"

    Well, let me think on it. As always, Kae you are so ahead of the game! I have been having a time getting back on track with points and journaling and 'watching it' . I just don't know. I have to kick it in the butt soon if I want to look good or decent for summer! I will give your suggestion some thought. I already scarpbook so let me see if I can come up with another idea.
    As for the link...thanks for the help. I think I am computer illiterate (and I can't spell). If you see it I got it. If not I am just hopeless!

    Hey Everyone,

    Well tomorrow is weigh in day and I'm scared to death. I mean I've done perfect but I guess it's what nature teaches us to be afraid of weigh in! LOL I've still got 5 points after supper so yay I have some skinny corn chips and some goldfish pretzels. I hope I have at least lost 1 pound. I've drank all my milk and water and I've ate all my fruits and veggies and exercised so Maybe the scales will be nice to me tomorrow!. GOod luck to everyone but it's time I go eat lol I'm hungry!     [FONT=Book Antiqua][COLOR=Magenta]Hey all! I just felt like writing in a new way. Hope that is alright?
    I sold a sleeper sofa and a dbl recliner (part of a sectional) today for $75! I feel pretty good about it! It was old and I hated the colors in it anyway. Besides when I get my own place I want my own stuff!
    Well, ladies, I am getting back on track here. Gotta get it in gear for summer! I think as soon as it warms up I will start to walk outside. I'd like to take my dog but Larry has a golden and I can't handle both I don't think as she isn't leash trained. So I guess if I want to take Beau he will have to walk with me so he can take Ginger.
    Anyway, I will go for now. Talk to you all soon I hope.

    Hey Everyone,

    I just got back from weight watchers I had lost 1.8 I was happy That makes a total of 16.4 Thanks for the prayers all! It really helped like it always does! I just hope this next week will be as easy as this past one was! Maybe it will be! I'm going to go I was just getting on to say thanks to everyone and keep praying for me it's really hard to lose this weight! I will talk to you all later Keep up the good work and have a great on program day tomorrow! At weigh in's!!!!! Talk to you all later

    I just signed on yesterday and I'm really excited. Unfortunately this is NOT the 1st time I've lost 100 pounds or more. I have no problem w/loosing the weight, I just allow it to SNEAK back. So, this is my 3rd time, and I'm trying to do it right with WW. Once I'm motivated I tend to stay on course because I enjoy the challenge (most times, LOL) of competing against myself and the scale. However, this time, I've determined not to be a slave to the scale....we'll see! I hate that thing anyway.

    But I am looking very forward to this journey. Before, I've always done it on my own with no support. I think this is the thing I've definitely been missing. I've now got just a little under 100 pounds to go, but the journey is still lonnnnng!

    I'm just now fixing to eat lunch I"m have Michelina's Lean Gourmet 5 cheese Lasagna for 4 points 2 peices light bread toasted with garlic on it, 1 boiled egg, French fries and White grape diet rite. all for 9 points so that will make my daily points that I've had today 13 points so i have 20 left for snacks and supper. I guess I had better go but I was going to get on and see how everyone is doing I hope you all have an on program day and remember DRINK YOUR WATER! I gotta go See you all later.

    Wild Strawberry, I think your idea of a scrapebook is awesome. I have seen some done by other people in their weight loss journey and they are pretty cool. They have pictures of them before and as they are losing weight, motivational sayings and clipping from magazine and newspapers, pictures of clothes they would like to be able to fit into, things they would like to do. And you are right, if you ever make it as a WW leader, it would be great to share with other. I just do not think I am motivated or free enough to do it, but who knows. Let me know if you decide to do it.
    Jennifer, congrats on the 1.8 pounds. Way to go!

    Shawn...you have a golden retrieiver. I love those dogs. It was always my dream to have one but somehow along the way, I never did. Got good old mutts instead. Right now I am dogless and I miss them. I don't think I can talk my husband into another dog however, at least for a little while.

    Awesome lady...welcome. I am new to the group too. I keep meaning to post more often, but time seems to slip away rather quickly!

    As for me, I have not had a good week. Work, meetings and an crazy schedule has taken its toll and I have no one to blame but myself. Anyway, my journal is out and I have planned for tomorrow. I am off work and don' t have call, so the walking shoes are out by my bed and I intend to get out and walk tomorrow. We have had several nice days and the beach has been beautiful, very quiet around here.......the way I love it before all the crazy tourists hit the neighborhood. In just a few weeks, they will all be here and going crazy! LOL

    Welcome, Awesomelady! Great to have you. I have a hard time sticking to the jounaling lately as well. I guess I will set a date and start seriously agian. I don't think I have gained but like you have said they just kind of sneak up on you, those naughty little pounds!


    Tonight we went to this new bar that L found and it is called "Patriot and Loyalist" or something of that nature. They had belly dancing!
    I have thought many times of taking a class but never really have gone through with it. I saw them in action tonight and I would really like to do it. I think it would be good exersice and give me enjoyment and self confidence. I would like to hear from anyone who has tried it or any kind of dance.


    Gee Chee gal it is very understandable that you get busy. We all do. For a while I was on here all the time. But I didn't get much done around the house so I have to limit myself on the computer because if I don't....I would stay on all day!

    Ok, well, it is off to bed with me. Church in the morning and I am helping with the breakfast. Take care and talk to you all later.

    This is my second week on WW and first time posting to this thread. I normally hang out on the Core boards - but I saw the 100 group and I thought I'd check it out.

    AwesomeWoman and I share the yo-yo. This would be my 7th time losing about 100 pounds. There must be a way to lose something and keep it from finding you -- and this time, this time is gonna be it. Right?

    I'm looking forward to getting to know you.
