So this weekend I got to go to Trader Joe's for the first time. It's a neat little place but I was unsure of what to get! I decided on some Tomato soup, Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper soup, some Barley soup (I love barley soup!), some Nori Maki and Edamame and some Mesquite Honey. My DBF got some esspresso beans covered in dark chocolate, some frozen onion soups and some fruit leathers.

So, have any of you been to TJs? What are your favorite things to get there? Hmmm???? We'll be going back either this weekend or next...I'd love a shopping list!

I'm changing my weigh in day and am seriously thinking about changing locations. all the times but Saturday morning seem to conflict with my schedual somehow. I got my hair frosted today and WOW! I've gotten a lot of compliments. My hair is three shades and it is flirty, sassy and professional all blended together.

I am a sometime lurker who has decided to come out play for a while. You look like a great group of ladies and I am interested in joining your group. I doing trying to do the WW points program at home and so far so good. I have joined and rejoined WW enough times to own a franchise and have always lost but a hectic schedule and thousand excuses finds me missing meetings and hating to pay for those missed meetings and then before you know it, I am no longer a member! So I trying this at home for while and will see how it goes. I am looking for a group to gain some support and after reading your threads, I thought I would give it a shot!
A brief introduction.........I am married with three children, most all grown. I am not sure how that happened....seems like I blinked and they were all grown up. My baby leaves for college in the fall and the nest will be almost empty. Yes, they grow up, go to college, get jobs and then come home! No one prepared me for that one! LOL I work part time as an OR nurse in a small hospital...day shift with some call. Not a bad job and I mostly like it...well some days any way!
Anyway, I hope to be regular poster...yes, I WILL be a regular poster here! Hope to get to know all of you over the next several months. I really could use the support. When you have 100+ to lose you need other people facing the same battle to really understand how difficult it is and how sometimes so overwhelming! Have a great evening everyone.!

I just got back from the dreaded weigh in. I only gained 0.2 though better than 1 right? I'm happy that I didn't gain more. I went and had my hair cut to my shoulders it was way down my back there was about 5 to 6 inches gone and my hair is very thick so there was a huge pile in the floor I thought I had been scalped. But I wasn't. I found some new tv dinners and they are very low in points. I found them at Wal*mart and they were only .98 cents I was surprised but I don't know how they taste. Hopefully they will taste good. I guess I had better go so I will see you all later.

The name of the dinners are michelinas lean gourmet They are great I'm eating the lasagna one right now it's 4 points and I"m having some corn to go with it. I gotta go and eat see you all later.

Hey Everyone,

It's me again. I just got back from wal*mart I got some more of those dinners and some more grapes. Now I've got the dang big hic cups and I can't get rid of them I hate those things and I've tried everything to get rid of them but it don't work so I have to tough mine out. I have a tip for Easter. If you like the boiled eggs. (I LOVE THEM!) Do the thing I do with my best friend. I only like the whites and she only like the yellows. So I can have 3 egg whites for a point but lucky for her she's not on weight watchers so I give her my yellows and she gives me her egg whites. It's an idea and thats what we do every Easter. Now since I"m on weight watchers that really helps! I can't wait I've had candy to put in the Easter eggs since February and I haven't ate any of it.!!!! I"m proud of myself I've almost made it. I think I can. I have Church tonight and me my mom and my dad is going to sing two new songs. I can't wait for everyone to hear them I know they will love them but I know God will love them the most! I have to go and start getting ready to go I will talk to you all later. I just thought I Would tell ya'll about the egg whites at Easter. I will see you all later.

Hi gang! Sorry I haven't been on lately. The last few weeks have been not so good for me. Things are a little different now. But hey, I am dealing with it. Thank God. I just have been focusing on stuff that I have been neglecting. Got my taxes done. Straightened my check book out. Got on a budget. Signed up to be a greeter at church. Looking at taking some classes. Not sure yet what. Waiting for God to guide me. Working on other financial stuff.
I am going to WW tomorrow. Time to weigh in. I don't think I gained but who knows. I checked at work on the scale and it said I lost 1 lb.! I will let you know tomorrow. Need to get back on track with plan and FOCUS on that as well. Note my new word for the time......FOCUS. I was losing focus on so much. Getting it back now. Keep me in your prayers!

In fact I lost .4 lbs. So that isn't bad. Even though it could have been more had I journaled . Oh well! Today is a new start. I have been getting lots of stuff done. I feel pretty good about stuff. So this is a new time in my life...I am truly a new creation!

I just got home not long ago. I went to a "facial" that turned out to be a Mary Kay lady. Sorry if anyone is a big Mary Kay fan. I like the products but not so much that I will pay those prices! It was sort of fun. I went with a friend from church, her daughter and her boyfriends daughter.
Anyway, me on a budget and a Mary Kay lady trying to sell stuff didn't really get a sale from me. So expensive! Oh well.
I am off tomorrow and will check back then.

Hey everyone, I found a great book at the library. Life is Hard Food is Easy: The 5 Step Plan to Overcome Emotional Eating and Lose Weight on Any Diet by Linda Spangle (RN, MA)

I'm only a few pages in, but it's really hitting some buttons for me. I'm pretty excited to keep reading it!

Golly, I miss all the usual banter. I'm glad to see an excellent loss for Shawn and Jen woo HOO on your "only"! there are many reasons for gaining .2...you could have had too much salt, or too little salt, you're happy, you're sad... whatever! I'm proud of you!

Well, there really isn't too much to report here. DBF said he'd pay for WW AND Curves if I wanted. Heck YEAH I WANT! LOL. Now, it's just a matter of getting to the two places!

Anyway, I'm off...I miss you all!

I am new to 3FC, my daughter told me about it. I have tried everything to lose weight, I have long ago lost track of the times I joined WW, and any other plan that promised hope. But 10 weeks ago I cried out to God in desperation, I distinctly heard in my spirit "No added fat". also that I didn't need to go buy another book, CD, video, join anything, or do anything like that. That was weird, I always had to get up the courage to "go, do or buy something" to help me lose weight. But God told me, "go to the cupboard and get out the Weight Watchers books, they work". So I did. Now I don't add butter, mayo, or fatty cheeses, or any other fats, to my food. I felt that instead of "going somewheres", I needed to look inside myself, for the reason that I wanted to be fat. Sounds strange, but if I didn't want to be fat, I would change... Well, it is 10 weeks, I am down 21#. I have journaled, kept my food diary, and have come to believe drinking water is about 50%, of losing weight issue. I believe that I have been using physical food to try to feed a spiritual problem. That is why it was never satisfying, Well, I just thought I would share, maybe it might help someone...

I'm doing good. I haven't been to weigh in for two weeks...since my leader made the remark about my 1 pound gain. I am still following plan and getting in all my water I have eliminated meat and feeling good about my decision. I have been wanting to for a while but never made it official.
We need to get this group hopping again.
