Activity Points Help

  • I am a week into Weight Watchers and have been working out for the past two months. I really don't want to stop working out just because I've started counting points, but I do know they supposedly figure activity into the amount you get. The bummer is, they don't give you that formula until week 3.

Can someone give me a rough idea on how to figure it out?
Current weight is 161 (last WW weigh in)
Workout is: 1 hour 15 minutes, 3x week.
30 minutes of weight lifting and 40 minutes of cardio and some stretching.
Cardio is on precor or eliptical machines at a heart rate between 130-160.

    Thanks!
  • The reason they don't give it to you until week 3 is the fact they don't want you to be so overwhelmed with the program that you quit. Not counting it for 2-3 weeks won't hurt you and will probably give your metabolism a shake up to be prepared for things to come but....

Light Activity (you can talk and sing):
    Weight X Minutes X .000232 = Activity Points

Moderate Activity (you can talk but no sing):
    Weight X Minutes X .000327 = Activity Points

High Activity (you need deep breaths to talk):
    Weight X Minutes X .0008077 = Activity Points
