point list online?

  • I'm joining WW again and I can't seem to find my stuff. Is there a list of basics online somewhere I can use until I get to a meeting?
Right now I need to know how many points a cup of cooked pinto beans has. The label only has info on uncooked beans and I'm not sure how much bigger they get.
    Thank you

  • Well, I just posted this on another thread, but you'll find that Dotti has a wealth of basic WW info on her page, www.dottisweightlosszone.com

Also, if you are going to eat the beans you have right there, you don't need to know the points per cup for cooked beans (which, I'm sorry, I don't know off-hand, especially with the new fiber cap). Just measure the beans before you cook them, calculate based on the information you have for dried beans, and you will know the points for what you put in the pot. Four two point servings (for argument's sake) will go in and four two point servings will come out. Cooking won't change that.

Now, when you are finished cooking them, just take your portion (if you put in four servings, take a quarter).

This is a good method with rice, couscous, etc. where you have the NI for dry product on the box. I have "trained" DH to "carve out" a quarter of the pot of the rice rather than scooping out of the middle, so I can keep the servings straight.
