A loser of weight that is! I'm 27 and from British COlumbia, Canada. I've got 110 lbs to loose and will succeed. I've been a yo-yo dieter most of my life but this time I'm sticking to South Beach. I did it for 3 weeks and lost 12 lbs. Then I hit financial disaster and had to live off of Mr. Noodles and Kraft dinner for two weeks. So last Tuesday I started again and have already lost 4 lbs. I've had problems in the past with diets because I'm a cook (part-time) and the last thing I want to do when I get home is cook. I live alone and therefore have no incentive to always cook meals but my success to date on South Beach has motivated me to keep cooking for myself. I also suffer from clinical depression but have started to realize that part of my depression is my weight so I'm going to deal with that. I've been on soo many meds that have actually caused weight gain (viscious cycle huh?) but have finally found one that doesn't do this to me. That's a huge step. I'm here for recipes, tips and support even though I am extremely motivated. I promised myself I'd never get to 200lbs and here I am at 242. I am going to lose this weight. My sister wishes I could loose weight by her wedding (which isn't actually planned yet but I expect will be happening around 2007) and I think it will be a nice gift to her to show up back home (my family all lives in Ontario) 110 lbs lighter. It'll be a great gift to myself as well. My goal: 130 lbs. My target date: June 2006.
