Thursday's the day to start

  • HELLO! I feel like I've been gone forever. I've been struggling to, but that's not why I've been missing in action. I've been missing because I've been trying to do things around the house in the morning so that I don't have so much to get caught up on the weekends. I would like to have some time over the weekends to do something else besides just housework and studying.

    Now about the struggling. It has just been one of those weeks that I couldn't get enough to eat, and it didn't matter what, I just wanted food. But I think that's over. Last night when I came in from work, I was so hungry. So I had some green peppers (trying to be healthy), then I had some crackers, then I went for it...some Fritos..you know..all the salt, all the grease....well, when I went to work out those things came back to haunt me. I felt so queasy at my stomach. That's not so bad because when something does that to me I won't touch it for a long time.

    I think we should set a small "pebble" action challenge. (You know, a small pebble starts the landslide) For the next 12 days mine is going to be that in the next 12 days I will get back to my Tuesday work lunch workouts and I'm going to start doing core strenghthing exercises. I have a hard time doing crunches and such because that pressure on my stomach and bladder from crunching those muscles can flare up my IC, but I really need to work on that area. So I've seen some core exercises. like planks, that I think would help out in that area. If someone has any other suggestings for core strengthing I'd love to hear them. I think I'll do some searching on the net as well. Any one else want to set one. If you do, let's be sure to ask each other how we are doing and report in. I think that's the purpose of the boards, to help each other be accountable to ourselves.

    Sherri: How are you doing with things? I love reading your posts and hearing all that you get done. You inspire me. The spare room is almost cleaned up. I've gone through a lot of things and tossed or put away in containers. This weekend, I'm moving the furniture out, cleaning everything and then arranging it so that I feel like room flows.

    Penny: You asked about the movie. It was very cute and entertaining. I think you should try to go see it. I just felt like smiling when I left.

    If I didn't mention you..I haven't forgotten you...so please post and tell us what you are doing..what you need...we will try to help.

    I am with you for the next 12 days. I have a plan in action. I have so many points I have to eat daily for the wendie plan and I am really trying to stick with that. So my pebble action is to stick to the daily points I am to have and make sure no matter how many pts a day I am allowed the food will be healthy.
    I am working on strength training as well. I have to work on my stomach as well. I do all the rest of the parts but not that one. So I am going to make sure to work on the stomach at least once a day for the next 12 days doing my crunches.

    Susie I never heard of the plank exercise. What is that?

    I have a great summer planned so I want to look my best and feel my best. Me and the kids are going to visit Christie again out west. Yeah we can't wait girl. I decided to plan a trip to florida as well. I figure if I plan it then the husband will go. With all the hours he has to work now it will be nice to go away as a family. We will use the income tax money that is extra money and won't effect the bills. You can't take it with you so you might as well have fun and make memories. The kids will only be little once. We are going camping the first week in july for 10 days 9 nights. That is paid for already. So it is going to be a great summer hopefully.
    Well I am on track so far for today.
