Wonderful Wednesday!

  • Thought I would start a new thread today.
I hope you are all off to a beautiful day.

Eleni, how are you...did the weather get your plants? I hope you are feeling okay and that your reunion didn't tire you out too much.

    Penny, WHERE ARE YOU???

    Are we all OP today?

    Will check back later.

  • Wanda,

Glad to hear from you. Sounds like you are doing great today. I didn't get to weigh in today because we got another storm today with more snow. Megan was scheduled for only 1/2 day of school getting out at noon today and her school was delayed 2 hours this morning. So I kept her home. I couldn't see sending her out for 1 1/2 hrs of school. So I had all 3 kids today.
I am on plan today. I started writing down what I ate today. I am going to keep up with that. It is the only way I am going to lose this weight.

I hope everyone else is having a great day.

  • Responsibility!
Good timing...I received this from a friend today. It goes along with what we were talking about on another thread. Hope you enjoy!
I have had another day OP! I feel so much better about myself. Isn't it amazing what we do to ourselves? Think about how much better we feel physically, and how much better we feel about ourselves when we are in control.
    Wanda

Are you taking responsibility for your own life.* You are the only one that can answer for you.** Think about what you really want and then go for it.* You deserve only the best so give it to yourself.***

    Fully responsible
The way to take control is to take responsibility. The way to gain maximum
influence over anything is to become fully responsible for it.
Responsibility may sometimes seem like a burden. That's because discipline,
focus and effort are necessary in order to maintain responsibility. Even so,
responsibility is not a burden so much as it is an opportunity. For it is
through living with responsibility, day in and day out, that great and valuable
    things are achieved.
With responsibility, you can take a confusing situation and give it clarity.
With responsibility, what was previously considered impossible can become a
    reality.
You can add significant value to any aspect of your life by taking
responsibility for it. Where responsibility goes, success follows.
Get in the habit of looking for ways to take responsibility. And you'll find
    yourself firmly, positively in control.

  • Hello All,
I just got back from my workout at the Y. I hit it hard tonight. My workout buddy was there but she had a really bad headache so she was taking it easy. There were some other people who were going a little slower on the track so she hung with them and I went with the group who was really moving...man, was I breathing hard...but it felt good. Had a great workout in the weight room as well. I used all 15-25 lbs free weights. I just felt strong tonight.

I've been in control and off the sugar since Sunday night. Wanda, you are so correct...it feels good to be in control. I feel happy and worth the effort.

I love what you shared with us. I'm taking it to my TOPS meeting tomorrow night to share and I've got some things to say about it. My chapter has been getting a little behind on things. We are not focusing on losing weight as we are building those friendships. I love the fellowships, but we are there for a common goal and we have gotton away from it somewhat, so I'm hoping that the "Responsibility" talk will help us to all get back on track.

Sherri: How much snow did you get? I'm so ready for winter to be over! How did you do today with writing things down?

I'll talk to you all on Friday. Thursday's I can't get here..but you will all be on my mind..especially when I step on those scales.

Stay on plan...visualize yourself down 15 lbs..don't you look good? Keep looking forward.

    Susie
