Can someone help me w/points ?

  • I just started back doing WW at home. I have 2 questions if some one could help me with them I would appreciate it!

    1. I eat only 4 points in the morning and then the rest at lunch and dinner. Is this okay to eat the majority of my points at the end of the day? I usually eat dinner between 6 and 7pm, but I do not normally go to bed until around 12am. So since I do not eat heavy then go to bed soon after is it okay to eat more later?

    2. How does fat grams factor in to the WW point system? My husband brought me home Wendy's nuggets last night, which according to my online point calculator is 6 points. I am defeating my goal if I eat fatty things even if I stay in my points?

    Thanks!!
  • You can eat whenever you want if it doesn't bother you. There is no scientific research that eating late at night hinders weight loss. Your body doesn't know if it is 3pm or 3am. It is the amount in and out over the course of a 24 hour period.

W/W bases points on calories/fat grams/fiber grams with a formula. If you want to eat nuggets (while not being the best healthwise for you) that is fine as long as you don't exceed your TPs + APs (if you choose to use them) and + your FPs/WPAs for the week. Occasionally I'll have my unhealthy fast food but I try to eat more healthy as I get more food for less points.
  • Thanks Kelly for the reply! My hubby stopped and picked the nuggets up with out telling me so I felt bad not eating them. I am going to work up a list of items that he can pick up for me if he decides to stop again. Even though I love fast food I hated the fact that I worked my behind of exercising then ate fatty stuff. I'm glad to know that I didn't blow my diet yesterday since I managed to stay in my points.
  • Utilize dwlz.com (go to the restuarants) or calorieking.com or dietfacts.com and make a list of things you like from the fast food places for him to keep so he can pick you up stuff.

Once in a while isn't bad.
