  • Hi,
I weighed in yesterday and I lost a pound. It felt good to have those scales going in the right direction again. I think adding that workout during the week at lunch will be a big benefit to me.

I'm feeling really positive about my food intake and my exercise and my frame of mind. It's nice to feel that way. I've been journaling and I really think that is a big help to helping me feel this way.

I have a busy weekend. Tonight is a birthday dinner for my workout pal, then tomorrow is a birthday party for a friend of mines grandson (she's raising him and his little sister), plus I have a homework problem to work on, doesn't sound like much, but this accounting in involved! and I also have to read the next chapter and do the exercises.

I didn't get a lot done yesterday at work..our computers were down all afternoon, so this morning I'm going to be busy and I hope to get on those west coast calls this afternoon..that is if we have no more computer trouble. The data base is on the computer so if it's down, you can't make calls.

Have a good day everyone....and let's keep this board busy with posts...it's the best way to keep and be encourged.

  • Hello all, Just wanted to get you an update. I saw my cardiologist yesterday. Everything is going ok. I asked him what the prognosis was and he really doesn't know yet. Not completely.Yes I will be around for hopefully a long time. But I may have to just learn to live with some of problems.Like the fluid build up and not being able to walk very far. He is hoping it will get better but it may not.He wants me to continue to take it easy. He increased my one heart med again. The pacemaker was put in mainly so he could increased this one med that is suppose to make my heart stronger. So things are going good. I just have to continue to make lifestyle changes. But I am a simple person who does simple things so this is no problem. So over all things are going good.
The heart is beating steady most of the time and almost no palpitations and no skipping. And the defibalator is there to protect me if my heart stops. So things are much better than they were a few weeks back. I just have 2 speeds now.Slow and slower. So everyone can stop worrying. I get to do the things I enjoy the most like reading,TV,my art, piano, computer etc and don't have to get up early and go to work. Now that doesn't sound so bad does it.

It has been raining non stop all night. No sunny florida today. I saw where some of you are having realy bad weather. So stay warm and safe guys.
This will be a lazy day around here.

  • susie and Eleni...
Congratulations on your weight loss and extra exercise routine Susie. Sorry that your computers were down at work yesterday. Computers are great when they work right but can be a pain otherwise.

Eleni, glad to see that your health is getting better and that you are following the drs. instructions and taking it slow and easy.

I had a major milestone last night. FIL likes us to take him out twice a week to mexican food, well after doing this for two years and knowing the menu by heart at his favorite restaurant, I came to the conclusion that there really is nothing low fat or low cholesterol that I can eat so with my husbands permission, I stayed home last night and fixed a low fat meal while they ate out. Hopefully, I can do this everytime that they eat out for Mexican food.

Well, I am hoping for a weight loss, but I have alot of water retention as we are eating a big ham that I bought around the holidays. Getting lots of veggies in which is good.

Today dh has a dentist and drs. appt, so since our car is running again as of late yesterday afternoon, tomorrow will be errand day. Sam's Club, grocery store, Target...

    Have a great weekend everyone.
