Battle Buddy Needed!!!

  • Hi, I am a 27 yr old w/ no kids (except hubby, 2 cats and 1 extremely wild 3 month old puppy!!!)
    I now believe what everyone told me about marriage weight. Anyhow, I am looking to lose 35 pounds a.s.a.p. I am 5'8 and weighing in at 185. I was very thin as a kid and into early 20's. Then military, meds, marriage, well you know, the works. It has all taken a toll on me. I am medication free, army free, and still married, but I decided DH will have to change his habits too.
    Oh yeah, I quit smoking too!!! Yea!!!
    I am looking for a buddy to help me stay focused and motivated. I have all the right tools and ideas. I do implement them...then the cravings begin. I think it is boredom. I know I am not hungry, but the cravings are still there.

    If any of you other Chicks out there need some support and/or just want a friend to exchange info/ideas/recipes/etc... with, PM me or post and I'll get back atcha!!!

  • HI! I just signed up today. I have been dieting for about three months now. I had lost about 30 lbs but with xmas and holidays I am starting to slip. We seem to be in the same boat with our ideas but not following through ( thats me no follow through). I think we could help each other out. I have no idea how this site works but I will learn!

    krb, good job on the weight loss! Holidays are always hard, but just get back on track...

    I have so much to lose... but I am really determined to get it ALL of this year. I don't want to look like this anymore. I hate being the girl with the "pretty face". UGH! That's not a compliment. Or "but you are still pretty..."

    It is my fault that I gained weight... and it is up to me to take it off! Actually, I did water aerobics last night and made it thru the whole hour... so that's a start. And I lost 3 lbs. last week. So at least I am moving the numbers in the right direction!

    Great to meet you both... lets encourage eachother! Oh, by the way... I am doing sugar busters... what are you all doing?
