Went to my first TOPS chapter meeting this morning

    Well this morning I went to a TOPS chapter meeting to see what they were like. They are a bunch of wonderful and supportive women. I must say though I felt a little awkward as I was the youngest one there and that is strange for me to be the youngest at my age...LOL...but they were all very welcoming.

    I didn't weigh-in today there because I am not officially joining till next week, and I also got in there late, well late for weigh-in but just intime for the actual meeting....my fault, I transfered on the wrong bus and ended up having to walk a ways to get to the meeting..LOL...but now I know what bus to take for next time.

    I can't wait till next week already    .

    I went to a tops meeting here. It was a very small group and I did not stay with it. They were nice but I just felt out of place. There is supposed to be a larger group in one the nerby towns but I just don't know that I'm into that. My sister loves her group. She is in Alabama.

    Glad you made it and hope it really helps you to stay on track. Let us know how it goes next week.

    Hey going to the first one is half the battle.
    My sister goes to a small TOPS group and she is the youngest. She loves it.

    WTG on making it to the meeting. I've found when going to new places and meeting new people to give it at least 3 tries to make sure it wasn't just someone having a bad day, you having a bad day, etc.

    And think of all that extra exercise you got because you got the wrong bus!!

    Hope you find the TOPS group to be of help to you. I went for a while ~ it was a good size group ~ young and old. Unfortunatly, my work schedule made it so I could not continue. I enjoyed it while I could go. There is a TOPS section on 3 fat chicks if you have not found it already. Maybe that would be of help too.

    Way to go!

    I am glad you liked your group. I never did anything like that mostly because everything is at least 30 mins from me and I don;t have the extra money to pay the fees. Oh,.. and I am shy about things like that.

    Thank you for bringing it up. I went to their website and did a search and they have a group in the town where I work. I never thought there'd be one anywhere near me since I live in podunkville. So myself and maybe a couple of coworkers are going to attend a meeting next Thursday.
