  • get those hankies ready!!!!!

i just received a christmas note from my goddaughter... and here's what she says at the end...

On August 25, 2004, Aidan had his open heart surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital, weighing only 4 pounds. And after what the nurses, the doctors, and i believe to be a miraculous recovery, Aidan came home on October 15, 2004 after 138 days in the hospital.

Aidan loves music - mostly Frank Sinatra and country music. He knows the way to his mommy's heart! He is so observant and eager to know about the world around him. His favorite time of day is bathtime in the kitchen with Daddy. Aidan is someone that you have all come to know and love. He has touched the hearts of countless people without ever leaving his hospital bed, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you.

and for us. Well, we are just so blessed that we have been given the opportunity to be Aidan's parents. We are so lucky to have such wonderful boys and loving family and friends that helped us get through the most challenging year of our lives. This Christmas i can only thank all of you for your prayers. Believe in prayer. Prayer is why and how Aidan can be with us this Christmas
    .

    <sigh> i am speechless....
  • Well that gave me a big lump in my throat for sure! I'm so glad he is doing well. Prayer really does amazing things. Thank you so much for updating us. I was wondering how he was doing. What a wonderful Christmas this will be for them!
