Hi there ~
Does anyone know of where you can find a recipe points calculator other than on the WW paid site?
I have a recipe I want to make for dinner and I'd love to find out how many points a serving will be.
Thanks so much!
Diane
You can figure points 1 of 3 ways:
1) list the points for each ingredient and total it up then divide by the number of servings to get the points for the serving
2) lists the cal/fat/fiber for each of the ingredients; total up each category; divide each category by the number of servings and then figure the points
3) buy Mastercook or use the paid Recipe Builder from the website.

Do you have Mastercook? I haven't heard of it before, but I was just looking online and it seems like a neat software package. I may get that because it will be very useful, moreso than the WW paid part.
Thanks,
Diane
I do have Mastercook and have had it since I started W/W (or restarted W/W) back in 1998. It is invaluable however I do suggest if you do get it to back up your cookbooks/recipes to a separate disc too.
I will be sure to back up everything. I've lost hard work before.
I did get a copy of mastercook yesterday, I haven't used it yet.
Let me know if you need any help. I will give another word of caution when entering things like 'CANS' 'PACKAGE' etc you need to make sure you use the same size as the database (which you can add to or edit) to be accurate. The best way is to do it by weight or measurement.
