One thing I am really missing on this diet is soup. I love soup, especially this time of the year. Most soups I like are high in bad carbs, with the exception of tomato. I would like to buy one rather than make one as I tend to eat it on the run. Has anyone found a condensed soup that they found to be acceptable and didn't do any damage?
Thanks!
I've found a couple from Progresso that are good. Lentil soup is good and didn't really have anything that I can remember that is a no-no. Progresso also makes low carb soups. They have a vegetable beef and one with chicken that is pretty good and doesn't have any of that partially hydrogenated junk in it but the rest of their low carb line does. Definitely try the fireside white bean and sausage soup as well as the broccoli cheese on the forum. They are WONDERFUL!
Tone, lentil and bean soups are wonderful. I usually make my soups and freeze them in serving size containers. They thaw very quickly in the microwave.
I really like the Hearty Bean and Pasta soup. I'm pretty sure I posted it under the phase 2 soups. If you left out the pasta it would be a tomato soup with lots of vegetables and it only takes a few minutes to make. It uses canned tomato juice and chicken broth.
