Need a weight loss buddy ASAP

  • Hi all! I am a 24 year old female. I am 5'10" and weight 270 pounds. I want to lose between 100-110 pounds. I am using weight watchers points system, as I have lost weight this way in the past. Sadly I gained all of my weight and some back. I am hoping to get a gym membership, but I am unsure at this time. Will find out this week hopefully. My main weight loss plan is the WW Points systems. I am looking for someone that I can email every day and let them know what excercise I did for the day and if I met my points target for the day or if not, why not. I plan on once a day emailing this person and letting them know what I had to eat. Thanks again!

  • undefinedundefined Hey I would love to have that sort of motivation builder as well - I'm 22 years old and I've been on a better eating plan for about 3 weeks now and I've lost about 5 kilos (what's about about 11 pounds?) I've been doing well with the eating side it's just the exercise. It's easier for people when they have a person to turn to for help, so yeah if you want to email me pm me I guess I'd like to lose about 72 pounds myself. Hope to hear from you soon!
  • Hey I just joined this today because I need to get serious about my weight-loss. I'd be more than willing to buddy up with you on this. I'm a 20-year-old college student that weighs in at 260 lbs and 5'9" tall. I'm hoping to lose 100 lbs. I need someone who'll hold me accountable to what I eat (I work out often, but have a tendancy to eat whatever after practices... my willpower stinks).

I'll buddy up if you're willing to hold me accountable as well Just send me a PM if you think it'll work.
  • Thanks to MOTY and Kewwy I have found two great buddies. I have ended my search for a buddy. Thanks for caring! Kimberly
  • Hey guys!
I would love to be a buddy! I need the help as well as I think I am pretty good motivator. I use to be 301 pounds. I am now down to 190. My goal weight is 140 so that still leaves me with 50 pounds to go. I am 26 yo, and 5'7. I would love to be a part of this.

  • Phoenix, that is amazing! What path did you choose to lose so much? I'm just getting started at the whole thing (had a reality check the other day...).
  • Well I lost the first big chunck with Weight Watchers. I went for 12 weeks or so , but couldnt afford to stay at it so I took the info they gave me and did it on my own. I went from 301 - 200lbs doing it that way. Just using portion control. My big thing is that I never eat more then a cup of anything. I make sure that Breakfast is my biggest meal. I dont eat after 7 pm , unless I am out with the gfs or something and we go for a late dinner. I also never jsut sit and watch TV. I am doing something when I watch TV. Usually its the bike or sit ups or something. This helps with two things , it helps me not to snack while watching TV, and it also helps me not to feel blah after I know I SAT for two hours watching my favorite shows. I started to work out at a gym at 200lbs, which helped me get over a a dry period. I was working out 7 days a week, alternating between cardio and weights, 2hrs a day. I also started jogging every other day. That brough me down to 170 lbs. I then got pregnant with my daughter which brought me back up to 220 lbs...after her using portion control and yoga I went down to 180 lbs...got pregnant with my other daughter (3rd child) and went back up to 230lbs. And here I am now, my last child is two years old and I am down to 190 lbs. This time around I am really concentrating on my mind and emotional part of eating. So Dr.Phils book has helped me immensly. But I find his menu plan to panned out so I use a mix Dr.Phil and WW. I got a membership to the gym, but I am finding it very difficult to gte there as much as I use to becuase I have three children and daycare is expensive. So I am doing alot of walking , and starting to jog again. I am hoping that I lose this for life , even if we have another child. The things I am learning with dr.phils book are amazing becuase I have alwasy been an emotional eater which explain why I ate so much during pregnancy and balloned like I did. To comfort myself. I have an issue with getting under 170lbs though. For some reason I also sabatoge myself when I get in that margin. Still trying to figure that one out. Anyway thats sort of my story..lol...
    cheers
