I am not really that excited but I figured it would catch your attention.... LOL :laughing: Well tonight is weigh in for alot of us. I just wanted to say good luck to everyone. May the scales be good to you. I am very very nervous about weigh in. I made myself a goal and it ends tonight. I know I will not make it b/c I still have 2.75 to go and it ends tonight. But at least I will be closer than I was. I am on my period right now so that is working against me too. My scale is staying the same so I guess as long as I don't gain then it is great! RIGHT?? RIGHT!!!!

I have to tell you what happened at work yesterday.........

I have a customer that comes in..... Well, I have had two children within the last two years so anway. He comes in and looks at me and said "Penny you aren't pregnant again? And then I walked around the corner and he said OH WOW! You are pregnant again!!!!

I could have died right there in my tracks. My mom was standing there so I just walked out. Later he apologized to my mom but I said hopefully he does not come in again until I get to goal. Then I will be so proud of myself. I almost got very upset but then I said what good is that going to do, so I am just going to push myself even further to get to my goal! That will SHOW HIM!!!!!!!!!!

What a jerk! I hope he doesn't see you until goal, then you can pull a fool on him...sneak up behind him....give him a goose and say ...'ohhhhhhhh with that wide butt i thought you were someone else'....then face and him and say....'no it is you! i was right!'

Good morning everyone. I see some new 'bodies' here. Welcome to all. I am now starting to get my life back to normal a bit . I finished cleaning up my mom's apartment on moday, tues. - I weighed in and was down 2 lbs., wed. and the rest of this week I am catching up here at home (housework and yardwork) and work - I work at home but I have had clients back and forth the last couple of days and now I have to work all weekend to catch up. I am going to take a break tho' today and get on that treadmill for at least 1/2 hr. I really need it. I can feel my legs stiffening up from non use. I hope to get back on and check on everybody this evening. Have a great day all...

good afternoon all. I've been moving around in here off and on all day, and haven't responded to this one.
So here goes. Everything is going well on the weighing and measuring thing. I've (we, brandon goes with me) been walking 3x this week. My husband and I figured on Wed. I probably upped my 1.2 mile to 1.5 miles. I also did this today. Three days in a roll.
I did however yesterday get my sons appointment date in the mail. He goes to the U OF M (Motts) for some tests. He was born with Kidney reflux, and may need surgery. He has been on sulfatrim since he was 6 months old. This medicine make him easy to burn, so we have to watch that. We thought they were going to do the test last year. The test is very painfull for them, and they tie them down. Inject dye through a cathider (SP) and take x-rays. They told us to either have him completely potty trainned or don't worry about it, cuz the test makes some kid retract back to wanting to wear diapers. He also has to have an ultra sound done. Then we have to visit the urologist all in the same day. If he has to have surgery this would be his third, (he was also born with hyposadious) this effects the opening of the penis (sorry to get tech) but I need to let this out cuz I'm really scared for him. I know there are kids worse off the he, cuz for the most part he is normal.
He also has seizures. But we caught that early on too. The test for the Kidneys aren't until October 8, but I will think about this daily until it is done. All will be fine, and with this too, I will take one day at a time.

Oh Wendy! I am so sorry for all the problems going on in your life. I understand how upset you are getting. I hope and pray that everything goes alright with your son. I know how hard it is to go through things like that. I know it is hard to concentrate on yourself and your weight loss when other people need and depend on you! I know how scary it is when something is wrong with our kids. There are just no guarantees in this life. It sounds like he is going to go through some uncomfortable times but medical science is quite amazing now days and they are so good at curing these kinds of problems. Just hang in there. Our thoughts are with you and anytime you want to vent, do so. That is what we are here for. I know times like this test our resolve to stay on our healthy eating plans but please don't let it break down your resolve. You will be able to deal with everything so much better if you are strong and healthy yourself. Take care and keep us updated please.

Wendy,hang in there.Better days are ahead.It is so hard when our children are sick or have to go thru some painfull times.We always feel so helpless.You would probably be very surprised if you knew some of things some of us have gone thru with our children.Being a parent is the hardest job in the world.You come here and vent any time.We all need to.Sometimes we can say things here we can't any other place.
