SBD Newbie, question about wild goose & duck

  • I am new to this diet (only in my first week) and I know that goose and duck are on the avoid foods list. But does this include wild goose and duck. I know the domestic version are fatty but the wild birds are allot leaner meat.

While I am on the subject, opinions about wild Partridge and Pheasant. If you havn't figured it out, I hunt waterfowl and game birds and it is just killing me that I can't eat my game.

    Thanks.
    Oag.

BTW, Started on Tuesday at 217, weighed myself this morning and down to 212. Maybe this salad thing aint so bad.
  • Hey Welcome to the beach! Looks like you are off to a great start! I have no idea about the game but I can assure you someone does and will let you know! Look forward to seeing you on the beach!
  • IMO, you can eat them. I'm not sure what the official judgement would be, there are far more knowledgeable folks at this website. Just be sure to prepare them with as little additional fat as possible and balance your meals with low fat items and lots of veggies. You may want to hold off until phase 2, just so you can get all the benefit of the phase 1 kick start. When you start eating your prey, just keep an eye on the scale. If you see you're not losing weight, perhaps that's the sign to cut back on the frequency or serving size. I can't think of a more natural meat product than wild game.

Great start so far! Keep up the good work!
